When Will and I had been young we had been really close friends. He wasn't overly gorgeous, yet. We hadn't been overcome with all the problems of the world, yet.
"Shanan when I fall in love the girl will be the luckiest girl in the world. I will love her unconditionally and she will always smile" he had looked so silly as he had swung upside down on the monkey bar while his face turned red as the blood rushed to his boyish features
"But what if you find your mate but you love someone else?" this was something that had never occurred, except for once and in the end the wolf had chosen her mate
"Love is love Shanan" he had said "no one will ever tell me who I can and can't love, even the women I love won't be able to keep me from loving her" it was that day that I discovered that whoever the subject of Will's love was would be the luckiest women in the world.

"I'm not that girl" I said to Will as soon as I found him, he was standing alone outside staring up at the sky "the girl who you used to talk about falling in love with. Will there is a women out there who will never chose anyone over you but-" he cut me of
"But your not going to choose me are you?" The answer was obvious, I didn't want to give him an answer all I had to do was walk away and he would get his answer but he deserved more than a cowardly attempt of escape
"No Will I'm not choosing you" my words broke his heart and broke him inside, my words hurt me as well but for the first time in a long time I felt as though I was making the right decision.

"Shanan I'm sorry I didn't treat you the way I should have" he had his head down and I hated it, Will was strong, he got through everything with his head held high
"Will if you loved me you would have treated me the right way but you never could have loved me because I was never the girl you described that day in the clearing" he smiled at the memory
"I wish you were" he said
"But I'm not" we stood there wordlessly for a while
"Go" I looked at him in confusion "he's waiting for you in the west wing" oh. A small smile lit my face.
"Thank you Will" he smiled at me and it really reached his eyes
"No Shanan thank you for letting me go" I smiled
"Will when you do find the girl you've been looking for, then she will be a fighter like you, so remember that no one can keep you from the women you love. Not even the women herself" he smiled as I recited the words he had told me a long ago and it was true.

Love cannot be predicted it is as wild and unpredictable as a bear and as fierce and loyal as a lion. Love is one of the greatest things in the world.
