"Let's go" I said to the stranger as I headed into his pickup truck without further hesitation. I was expecting the ride to be eerily silent and I was kind of looking forward to the silence, it would give me time to think, but apparently the stranger had other plans

"So what are you doing out at this time, all alone" I tried to come up with a substantial excuse

"Uh I was out camping with my boyfriend and we had a bit of an argument" there that would do

"So your not a rogue?" I swear if I had been drinking anything I would have spit it all over his face

"What's a rogue?" I asked, trying to play dumb, I couldn't detect the scent of a werewolf on him so I couldn't come up with a reason that would explain how he would know about werewolves

"I know your a werewolf, I am too" I turned to him with confusion in my eyes

"My pack has come up with a way to mask our scents from the hunters which is why you couldn't tell I was a werewolf"

"If that's the case then why doesn't my pack know about this smell scenting thing?" There was no point in trying to keep up my act of not knowing what he was talking about, since he was obviously well-informed in the werewolf department, so I might as well try to get as much information out of him as I could.

"I'm from the Silver pack and as you probably know we are the most commonly attacked pack, we get killed by hunters more than any other packs. It goes without saying that we would go to great lengths to ensure the safety of our pack, even if it means keeping a secret from the werewolf society" he had a point. As much as I despised keeping secrets from fellow werewolves, I knew I would do the same as this man had I been put in his position, but there was one thing I didn't get

"Why would you tell me about this top secret, scent hiding thing?" I focused my eyes on his features, trying to tell if he was lying

"I trust you" he made it sound so simple

"Have you ever heard the saying: trust is earned not given?" He turned to me with a small smirk on his face

"And I have just given you the chance to earn my trust by entrusting you with one of my secrets" one of his secrets? He made it sound as though he had a lot of things he was hiding

"So your hiding more secrets?" I asked, curiously

"You bet I am" he said with a cocky wink and just like that he had me hooked, a mystery man with secrets to hide. Well I was as curious as a cat and I could sense the challenge his voice held. He doubted my ability to find out his secrets but I wouldn't rest until this man had nothing left to hide.
