"Aren't you ashamed or nauseated about what you just told your father?"

"Tita Sherly?" I confused

"Don't be gay Althea." She bluntly said, it's my 19th birthday and I just had the chance to tell my dad who I am and my relationship with Alison.

"What?" I raised an eyebrow, David's mom really is nosy and bossy and because she's the only adult woman in the house she seemed to be pretty up beat with the happening in people's lives.

"You can't be gay, you're just confused, I know your dad just accepted you as you are but I know he's shamed of what you did."

"I don't understand you Tita, if dad really is mad or shamed of what I told him then he should've told me right away." I said shaking my head

"He's just scared of you running away again that's why he accepted you as you are."

"Wow. I didn't know you are - -" I started

"What? A homophobic?" she completed

"No, a bitch." I braved

"Hey you watch your mouth."

"I guess that goes same with you Tita Sherly. My dad has nothing against my sexuality see? My own dad and you then you, barge in on me telling me to stop being gay like it's some kind of light switch? You're dreaming." I said walking passed her but she held me by the arm and jolt me back facing her and the next thing I felt was the stinging pain on my left cheek.

"Well, that's going to bruise." I nodded

"You don't fit in this place, you should go back to where your invalid step mother is." She pointed out with a dab of her finger on my head.

"You don't talk to my mother like that - -" I said with jaw and fists clenched.

"And what are you going to do?" she challenge

"Nothing, but pity David because his mom is a bitch." I said, before another slap landed my face

"Sherly!" we heard a man's voice thundered from outside of the room and came Uncle Albert.

"What are you doing with Althea?"

"That girl's raising her voice at me and insulted me."

"Is that true Althea?"

"Only because she started it."

"I was only telling her to stop being immoral."

"Stop it Sherly, is there's one person who should be reprimanding Althea of her ways it is my brother not me or you or anyone. So don't hurt Althea again." Uncle Albert defended

"Go child, put some ice on your cheek." Uncle Albert turned to me with a pat on my shoulder, and the next thing I heard was their arguing and the loud bang of the door from their bedroom.

"So how's Jade?" Batchi asked we're in the conference room waiting for the executives, for the monthly board meeting, the first board meeting for this year.

"I told her not to come to work today, and I asked two of my body guards to keep an eye on their house."

"Good thinking, by the way are you sure you're pushing for the board meeting without David?"

"Yes. I'll need to know their opinions about the coming out. And what David did yesterday obviously told me his opinion about the matter."

"Know what I'm starting to think that, you guys are not related you know, he's too conceited and has an award for being a homophobic asshole."
