"Albert, are you sure that you'll let Althea take over the company as the CEO right away?" Tita Sherly asked in a hushed tone, although her voice reverberated all over the living room where I sat with dad's lawyer, David and them.

"Sherly, I know my niece's capabilities, I have already tested her skills and knowledge, and it's time for her to prove herself, I know Anthony would want his daughter take her rightful place, she's 22 for Pete's sake. She's an adult."

"That's the problem, she's only 22, Albert, and she still lack the experience needed to be the CEO."

"Althea what do you think?" Tito Albert turned to me with a soft expression, it's only been year since my father's tragedy, and here we are with Dad's lawyer as he read the last will and testament.

"I can prove myself worthy Tito, I'll do everything for dad." I stood my ground and Tita Sherly's eyes widened in disagreement.

"See? Althea's ready."

"Dad, I can take her place first if Althea still needs to be trained and honed?"

"David's right, he's been in the company for five years now Albert, he can train Althea."

"Excuse me, Mrs. Cojuangco, I'm sorry but the will distinctly stated that no one other than Mr. Anthony Cojuangco's daughter Ms. Althea Cojuangco will be elected as the President and Chief Executive Officer after him. Because she's the rightful person, by virtue of blood and the law." Dad's lawyer strictly stated and Tita Sherly's perplexed.

"See? We should follow Anthony's will." Tito Albert agreed

"In return of your good service to the company Mr. Albert Cojuangco, your brother, leaves you the properties he has in the states that'll sum up to Ten Million Dollars, for your retirement, and your son, David Cojuangco will be the Vice President and Chief Operating Officer."

"Thank you Attorney Limjoco." Tito Albert nodded

"The transfer of the all the properties, inclusive of the estates, bank accounts, shares and the ACG Inc. under Ms. Althea Cojuangco's name will be done as soon as possible. Thank you for your time. Good Day." Attorney Limjoco said as he gathers his things.

"Althea by the way may I have a word with you?" He turned to me as I walk him out of the ancestral house to his car.

"Yes attorney."

"I suggest you, immediately hire your legal counsel and a group of trusted bodyguards, once you start your administration as the company's CEO. For your own safety and security. Your father is good boss, and I know you will be as well." he advised

"Thank you attorney Limjoco, I'll do as you say."

"Thank you Althea. Have a good day."

"Jade!"

"Hey Batch." I weakly answered; I can still feel my throbbing temples and my sore back, maybe from the nights Althea couldn't be able to sleep without her head on my chest.

"Wow you look pale. Where have you just been coming from? Are you with Althea last night?"

"Oh no, I went home yesterday, the sleepless nights has already caught up with me last night." I honestly said it's not that I'm getting tired of taking care of Althea, of course not. She's actually the one, who wanted me to go home so I could sleep longer, with a promise that she'll be fine.
