Week 1: Saranac Lake, New York

"Yes Tito, We're already settled, I'm fixing our things on the master bedroom, and the stocks are all refilled, yes we met her here earlier, yeah they're on the apartment, oh sure I'll tell Jade, All right Tito, thank you. Bye."

"Hey babe, you want to eat first?" I called out to Althea who just finished talking with Tito Albert and mommy Agnes, and was busy putting our things on the master bedroom.

Good thing, their property actually have two living spaces, the main house and the apartment one where Bernard and Lester are going to stay, it's separated with the main house and situated further on the bank close the dock, so we get our privacy.

"What are you making? Oh by the way you should call mama Amanda love." Althea suddenly appeared behind me, apprehending all the possible movements of my body, she nuzzled her face on my neck and hair, while both her hands pull me by the waist closer to hers.

"You are so inhaling me again. And yes I'll call her in a bit." I giggled feeling the tickles down my spine because of her warm breath.

"Okay, you smell so good eh. Wait aren't you sleepy? You're not jet lagged? And you don't have to cook love, you're too tired for that." she worried, if this is the constant perk of being her wife, oh goodness I'll be spoiled enough even before our first anniversary, well on second thought, I'm long spoiled by her anyway.

"Nope I'm fine love. How about you?" I said turning to face her rubbing my hands on both her arms

"I'm grand, you've forgotten that I travel a lot? You certainly got the touch that I want." She smiled and purred

"Wait you want to walk around? There's a good number of diners here." She offered

"I'd like that." I agreed

"Let's go then!" she cheered as we got our purses and phones. We haven't changed clothes though, we're wearing our couple knitted pullovers for pete's sake, but she doesn't seem bothered by it. She told Bernard and Lester to just stay behind since we're in a residential community after all.

"It's like a little world inside New York, everything are so old fashioned here." I commented as we walked at the Historic Downtown of the place, there are old signs and even older buildings around, sends me the feeling of nostalgia.

"Yeah, because this place was founded somewhere in the early 1800s, and they didn't left since then, they only made the whole community prosper and expand until they have 7.77 square kilometer of land area. They are also hailed as the number 11th in the 100 Best Small Towns in America. So pretty much all the living necessities are here." Althea explained in a little miss tour guide way, while I cling on her arm.

"By the way we're on the first town, also the most famous because they claim to be the coolest place which is Adirondacks." She added

"Why do Americans love that no? Always being the best in everything." I giggled

"I don't know actually, google didn't anything about mention that." She giggled back

"Crazy." I shook my head as I pulled her closer feeling the colder breeze as we near the waterfront.

It wasn't a long walk though because just like what she said there's a good number of diners all over the community, and the first one we spotted was this classic American looking diner they call Arthur's Favorite. The whole place was stainless themed with the bright colors of the American flag.

Althea instantly pulled me inside when I told her that I suddenly craved for a traditional breakfast, yep she's really impulsively cute sometimes.

"Hi Good Morning, local?" the cheeky Am-girl greeted us by the door
