"I had to"

Ella's pov

I couldn't breath I felt like the whole world was blurry except for Harry. I feel shocked yet happy at the same time. I want to smile and laugh but I also want to cry and yell at him for being a idiot and joining his fathers gang. Right now though, I can't do anything.

"Why do you look like a deer in headlights love?" He asks while chucking. I don't get how he can be so calm.

Harry's pov

The plan worked perfectly. Here she is in front of me looking healthier then I've ever seen her which shocked me. She didn't have that small sparkle in her eyes that she had when she was with me though. She looked physically healthier but I could tell that mentally she was just dead. I could tell by her beautiful blue eyes.

Wait her eyes are blue. That means she either happy or excited. There is still some grey in it though making me know she was sad before.
She was obviously shocked by how calm I was acting but inside there's a whole zoo in Me. The whole time while Louis was getting her to come her I've been practising what to say. I memorized everything I had to say but now standing here in front of her. My mind just went blank.

Ella's pov

Harry zoned out for a bit and I couldn't hold myself I run up to him and just hug him. I feel him go stiff under my touch but slowly start relaxing into it. He hugged me tight and I just closed my eyes shut inhaling his familiar scent that I missed so much. We just stay like this for some time till we slowly pull away. He still holding my small hands in his big ones.

"Why?" He asks with glassy eyes filled with pain.

I know exactly what he's talking about but don't answer, I just stay quite.

"Please don't stay quite. I missed you so much. Your scent, your voice, your beautiful eyes, the small moments where we would joke around, everything. Please I need to hear your voice." He says his voice cracking at the end and I know he's on the verge of tears.

"I-" I start saying but then I just burst into tears.

I shouldn't cry but all the emotions that I'm going through right now overwhelmed me.

He got water from the small snack area in the room and I drank it gratefully.

"I had to." I say after recomposing myself. My voice was horse and quite from all the crying I did today.

Harry's eyes just remain closed after I talked. He then hugged me again.

"I missed your voice so much." He says and I can feel a smile forming on my face.

"Me to Harry, but I didn't just miss your voice. I missed everything about you. I didn't really notice how much you mean to me took till after I lost you." I say resting my head on his chests.

It didn't actually feel weird talking again. If anything I felt happy about it. Being in this moment right now meant so much to me that I don't care about anything at this moment except for us.

We stayed in this position just enjoying the silence surrounding us. I was sat in between his legs with my head resting on his chest and his head was on top of mine. His arms are wrapped around my waist and are fingers are tangled together on my lap. It felt so good to be in his arms again.

"You never answered my question." Harry says breaking the silence between us.

"I had to." I reply.

"Why?" He asks and I can hear the confusion in his voice just growing.

"Shh, let's just enjoy this." I say closing my eyes and relaxing more into him.
He does what I say and we just sit there in silence again.

Harry's pov

"Want to hear a joke?" I ask her hoping to lighten the mood a bit

"I even missed your jokes styles, go on say it." She says giggling a bit.

"Why couldn't the flower ride it's bike?" I ask her.

"Why?" She asks back which a small yawn at the end.

"Because it's petals fell off." I say laughing at my own joke. I hear let out a small giggle.

We just sit in silence again and I still can't believe this. Here she is in front of me. Laughing with me. Talking to me. The position were in right now. Her small frame between my legs. My hand around her waist and our hands intertwined together loosely. Her body leaning in mine for support. It just seems so unreal and I decided this as the only time I would have confidence to say what o have to say to her so I say it.

"I love you Ella."
