Lucas's POV

Dear Riley,

It's been about almost 2 weeks without you, and it's been hell. Marina is extremely happy about her being pregnant. I'm here hoping and praying you'll take me back. I miss and love you so much. Dammit Riley I love you with all my being. Anyways I have to go back to being a normal human. Bye Riles, I adore you.

I've been writing in this journal for the past two weeks.

"Time to go to my classes," I say as Marina's alarm clock bursts to life. I have no clue why but I woke up 15 minutes earlier than usual. I get up and take a shower. As I exit the shower, I hear groaning.

"Lucas?"

"Hi Marina," I say with a smile. "Good morning." I go over to her and kiss her forehead.

"Good morning it is," she says as she begins to look at me up and down. "Mmm, stay with me Lucas."

I awkwardly laugh. "Marina we both have classes," I say as I put on my favorite baseball shirt and my khakis.

"Yeah but we can stay and..."

I kiss her forehead. "Bye Marina," I fake smile.

"Wait Lucas."

"Yeah?"

"Give me a kiss."

I walk over and give her a quick peck on the lips.

"Bye baby," she says.

"Bye," I fake smile again.

I walk out as fast as I can. Everything happening right now, it's all a mistake. I'm not happy. I miss Riley more than I should. I'm always depressed and this isn't healthy. Instead of going to class I walked over to a small coffee shop and sat down. I took out my journal and continued writing.

Hey Riley,

It's me again. I hope you don't mind. I just really miss you. I miss your brown hair, your amazing eyes, your smile, you. I don't know what I'm going to do. I'm not happy at all. I want you back so bad. I've been listening to John Mayer a lot lately. I know how much you like him.

"Sir," the waitress interrupts me. "What would you like?"

"My girlfriend back..." I wasn't thinking when I said that and when I looked up, the waitress had a really awkward smile.

"Sorry Can I please get a caramel macchiato and a croissant?"

"Sure. I'll be right back."

I continue writing.

Where was I? Oh yeah. John Mayer is really good. I like the song 'Dreaming with a Broken Heart'. It reminds me of me right now. All I do is dream about you, about us. Do you remember our first kiss? I do. We were in the subway and you were being adorable. I miss you Riley.

A tear streams down my cheek.

"Sir here is your coff- Dude, are you okay?"

"Huh," I sniffle. "Oh, oh yeah. I'm fine."

"Doesn't seem like it..."

"Riley said that to me when I told her what happened..." Another tear falls down my cheek.

"Look I don't know you but do want someone to talk to?"

"Please I seriously need some help."

"Your lucky because my break starts now. You have 20 minutes."
