Lucas's POV

"What... d-did you just say?"

"I think we need to end this," she says sheepishly as if she was a little child hiding from the big bad world.

"No..." Is all I can breathe out.

Why? I'm losing her again. After I fought so hard to be with her. My heartbreak, her heartbreak, all a big mess of feeling thrown onto the floor. We've been through so much and she wants to end this now... Why now?

She sat there like nothing was happening, twiddling her fingers and staring down at the floor. Before thinking about my actions, I scooted closer to her despite the pain in my back.

"You can't leave me," I whisper in her ear in a husky tone.

"L-Lucas don't."

"What do you mean," I smirk while pulling her closer to me.

"Don't do this... N-not here..."

"What. I. Can't. Hear. You," I say in between the kisses I was leaving on her neck.

"Riley look at me," I command.

Almost Immediately her hazel eyes meet blue and it's as if the world stopped.

"Never," I say looking into her eyes," Say those words again. I won't forgive you if you say them again."

"Lucas... All I do is cause you trou-"

"Riley, I don't care about that! All I care about is you!"

"But what if you die one day because of me?" She asks panicked.

"Well, it'll be worth it because I love you."

She stayed quiet as if she was contemplating what to say.

"Riley, every time I stare into your eyes there's one thing I know. You make me crazier about you each moment I'm with you. I get lost in your eyes. You make me feel like I'm on cloud nine. I. Love. You."

As soon as I finished that sentence, she jumped into my arms.

"You idiot," She said between her cries. "You a giant idiot."

"Yeah, but I'm your idiot."

"Yeah..." She smiled. "I just hope you don't get killed."

"Highly doubt it. Riley, can you come here?"

As she got closer to me, I gently grabbed her face and planted a quick kiss on her lips.

"I love you, Riley."

"I love you too, Lucas."

With those five words, my world was complete. I didn't need anything else but for her to say those words. She almost slipped through my fingers again. I will never let that happen to her or me again. The both physical and emotional pain of losing her not once but twice was unbearable. I went insane when she was kidnapped.

"So what are we doing tonight," I said as I laid back on my hospital bed.

"Movies and takeout?"

"Chinese?"

"Duh?"

"You don't know how much I've missed that..."

"Me too..."

"Well chop-chop, miss. I want my Chinese food."

"Haha I'll be back," she says with a sarcastic tone.

"Okay hurry back," I mock. "I'll miss you."

"Whatever," She said as she rolled her eyes, as she exited the room.

Life was going back to normal.
