"Is this about brad?" Laura sked as she opened the door and we walked in. I was about to reply when brad and Tris walked into the kitchen. "Is what about me?" brad asked sounding confused. "Never mind" Laura spoke. "Hey what are you doing home so early?" Tris asked. "Well that bitch-"Laura started but I elbowed her to shut her up. "Em we'll tell you later" I said as I looked down at the floor. I looked back up and made eye contact with brad. I smiled. We all stood in the kitchen talking when brad butted in. "em guys.....can me and Lucy have a few minutes please" he asked "Me?" I asked sounding confused. "Well you are the only Lucy here" he laughed. "Oh yeah right" I laughed back feeling a little bit stupid. "Em yeah....well in the Livingroom" Tris said as he dragged Laura into the Livingroom.
"So what's up" I asked as I grabbed a glass and helped myself to a drink. "Well I just wanted to know is you was ok" he asked. "Em yeah I am fine...you?" I asked. "Lucy you know what I am talking about.....I know you were hurt yesterday when Chloe told you about the engagement." He said. This just got 10 time more awkward. "Em like I said I am fine" I smiled. "Lucy I know everything about you.....I know when you are lying....... Just because we aren't together doesn't mean that I don't care because I do" he said sounding genuine. I couldn't lie to him but at the same time I couldn't tell him that I still loved him. "I was just in shock but if she makes you happy then I am happy for you" I lied. Well it wasn't exactly a lie. If he was happy then I was happy for him and I was definably in shock. "Well she does make me happy" he said sounding awkward. "Well then I am happy for you" I repeated as I smiled. I had to smile even though right now I just felt like screaming. We stood in an awkward silence until he spoke. "Hey I think that this is the first time that we have had a propped convocation since....." he paused. "Since we broke up" I continued. He nodded his head. "Yeah I know.... It's nice" I smiled. "Yeah it is......... even thought are not together anymore I still want you in my life so can we be friends again.......like before we got together?" he asked. I couldn't decide if he just wanted to forget that we were ever together and forget about all of our good times or if he was just trying to make things easier? "Yeah we can be friends" I replied. "c'mer" he smiled as he hugged me. This was the first time he had hugged me in months and I loved the feeling. I felt safe in his arms. "So now we are friends again.....tell me what happened while you was out because I had a feeling things would go wrong" he laughed. I laughed. "Well let's just say that you might have one less bridesmaid at your wedding" I joked. "Damn right" I heard Laura yell through the door. Me and brad smiled as we walked into the Living room.
