I got in my car and decided where I should go. "Starbucks" I said to myself. If people can't find me at home or at work they always find me at Starbucks, which is weird because I can't stand tea of coffee but they have the nicest hot chocolate ever!

I pulled up at the small Starbucks, about 10 minutes away from my house, and got out. I locked my car and walked toward the shop. The cool autumn breeze ran through my hair. I checked the time on my phone, 6:30pm, I could tell because it was starting to get dark. I walked in and headed straight for the counter. "Large hot chocolate please" I asked the woman behind the desk. "Are you staying in or taking out?" she asked. "Take out please" I replied. I paid the woman and waited for my drink. I was stood checking my phone when something caught my eye from behind my phone. I looked up and saw brad sat alone with a cup of coffee and he was playing on his phone. Part of me just wanted to pretend that I hadn't seen him because if we talked it might be awkward but the other part of me knew I could just ignored him. "There you go" the woman said. "Thanks" I smiled as I picked up my coffee and walked over to brad. I could see that he had his earphones in and he was aping a beat on the table. "Hey" I said but he didn't respond. "Hey" I said again as I touched his arm. He jumped a mile. "Sorry" I laughed at how jumpy he was. "No no sorry" he laughed back. "You ok, you seem in a trance" I asked as I took a seat opposite him. "Erm yeah I'm fine, you?" he sighed. I blanked his question because I could tell something was wrong. "Brad what's wrong" I said sound like his mother which made him laugh. "You still do it don't you?" he chuckled. "Do what" I replied. "When you what to get the truth out of someone your lips pout and your eyes go really wide and you raise your eyebrows" he laughed. "Shut up! No I don't" I defended." Haha yes you do, you always did it when you knew I was lying" he laughed. "So that was a lot then because you are a terrible lire" I joked. "Hey I am not" he said trying to act offended. "Whatever you say" I laugh. He smiled ta me. "So anyways you never answered my question, what's wrong" I asked again. "Just Chloe being annoying" he grumbled. "Why what's wrong?" I asked. "Nothing it's probably just me being a div" he replied. "Brad" I said sternly as I did that facial expression that made him laugh only this time I did it on purpose. He laughed. "She is just being to annoying with the wedding and stuff and as soon as I got home she was yelling at me so I left and came here" he explained. "Oh" I replied.

We had been talking for about an hour and to be honest I love it. It felt like old times again and it was nice. I feel so comfortable with him. I could be me and he would care. God I miss him. "You are such I lire Braddy boy" I giggle. Then it hit me. I just called him Braddy boy. It was my nickname for him. I haven't said it in so long. "Shit" I curse and I cover my mouth with my hand in shock. "I am soooooooo sorry for calling you that" I apologise. He didn't look shocked, he actually looked quite happy. "No no its fine, it was actually quite nice to hear it" he smiled. "I mean I haven't heard it in so long" he spoke again. "well that's because it was my nickname for you, no one else knew about it", it was our little thing" I smiled. "Yeah our little thing" he repeated. He looked down at his coffee cup and I did the same. It was an awkward silence until his phone began to ring. "Oh it's Chloe" he spoke and I looked at his phone. I didn't reply. He answered the phone." Hey Chloe......at Starbucks....with Lucy....yes my ex.....because we are friends........ok.......ok......bye" he sighed as he hung up the phone. "Chloe says hi" he laughed. "Don't lie, she hates me" I laugh. "Well I wouldn't say hate" he replied which made me laugh. I swear all I do when I am with him is laugh. "Erm I have to go" he spoke. "Yeah cool, I best be going anyways, work in the morning" I reply. We both stood up and left the shop. "See you later luc" he spoke. "Bye brad" I smiled he came over and gave a hug. The smell of his scent hit my nose and it instantly brought back memories. Somethings never change. We pulled away and he headed for his car. I got in mine but I didn't start the engine. Part of me was sad because he had to leave and I knew that we would never be together gain but at the same time I couldn't stop smiling. I still loved being with him and I think he still liked being with me even if we went together.

When I got home all of the lights were off downstairs except the lamps in the living room. "TRIS" I yelled to see if they were still hear. "Laura" I yelled. No reply. I walked into the kitchen and saw I note taped to the side.
