Laura's pov
I was sat talking to my mum when I saw Lucy and Tris going off into her kitchen. They have been spending a lot more time together lately. I don't know why but I am starting to feel slightly left out and jealous. I mean I know that they have been friends since they were 3 but we have been friends since we were 10 so that is still a long time. My mum left to get a drink I was sat playing on my phone when Chloe came up to me with the sickly sweet yet sinister smile on her face. Wait why is she even here? I bet brad invited her. God I hate her.
"Hey Laura" she smiled. "What" I snapped. I could be bothered to act nice. She doesn't even deserve it anyways. "Why are you all alone..... Such a shame" she spoke trying to sound sympathetic but you could tell that it was fake. "Well I am just waiting for Tris to come back" I explained. "Why where is he?" she asked. Why is she so bloody bothered? "Em I don't know really but her went somewhere with Lucy.... They won't be long" I reply. We sat in an awkward silent until she spoke up. "You know they have been spending a lot of time together..." she poke. "Yeah and your point is? They are best friend what do you expect them to do?" I snapped. "Well all I am saying is they seem closer than normal... like really close" she spoke. I'd had enough of this. I knew that she was trying to hint something. "What are you getting at Chloe" I blurted out. "Oh nothing" she sniggered. What a bitch. "No no if you have something to say then juts say it." I forced. "It was just an observation" she smiled. "no I know that you are getting at something" I yelled. "Well what if there is something going on" she said seriously. "WHAT! That is the stupidest thing I have ever heard..... They are best friends...THAT ALL" I stated. "Yeah but-" she was just off but the door opening and the lights going off. I looked at the door to see Lucy and Tristan holing a cake whilst walking over to me. "Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday dear Laura. Happy birthday to you" everyone sung. "Go on make a wish" Lucy smiled. I closed my eyes and make a wish, then blew out my candles.
After I blew out my candles and hugged all of my friend I was stood talking to Tris when Lucy came up. "Heya" she smiled. "Hey" Tris smiled as he hug his arm over her shoulders. I couldn't help but stare at his actions. "So are you enjoying it" Lucy asked. "Yeah thanks" I said half-heartedly. I didn't mean for it to come out like that but it did. Lucy frowned at me. "Well I just came over to borrow Tris for something.... Can I take him?" she joked. I wanted to say no but of course I couldn't. "Erm yeah cool" I fake smiled. "Thanks" she replied. She grabbed his hand and they both ran off into the kitchen together. I can't believe that I am actually going to say this but....... I think that Chloe was right. I mean they have been spending a lot more time together lately and they have been acting different. Like when he put his arm over her and then she grabbed his hand to pull him away. They have always been close but this feels different. I am losing my boyfriend to my best friend. My life is over.
