~ 2 weeks later ~
The past two weeks me, Tris and the guys have been planning Laura's birthday party it was also the anniversary of Amelia's death but let's not talk about that. It has been killing me not to tell Laura about the party. It also has been killing me because Tris has been making me meet him at Starbucks early in a morning and leaving places early, just me and him, so that we could plan stuff. He has been telling Laura that he has band practice or that I am upset about something so we can leave. She bought it at first but now I think she knows that something is going on. She keeps giving me wired looks and blanking my texts but it doesn't matter now because tonight was the party. "Higher..... No lower...... a little bit higher.....PERFECT" I squeal as I make brad and James put up the banners. "You're so bossy do you know that" brad laughed. "Yes I do now stand on there and out the next banner up" I giggle as I point to my sofa for him to stand on. Somehow I managed to get blackmailed into having to party at my house. I don't even know how that happened. "Hey how come con doesn't have to put up banners and have you bossing him around. "Because I like Connor" I laughed. They both acted offended which made me laugh even more. "I'm joking and he is on food duty.... Now shut up and put up" I order. The both muttered something about me under their breath. Not that I care.
2 hours later were all ready. All the food was prepared. The banners and balloons were up and all the guests had arrived. "oh hey jane, hey mark" I smiled as a greeted Laura's mum and dad. "Hey love... thanks for doing all of this" Jane smiled. "It's ok" I replied. Everyone was mingling for about 20 minutes until I heard Tristan knock on the door. He did his "secret knock" which to every normal person is just a knock but not to Tristan but he is not normal so what do you expect. Everyone went quiet and started to hide. I dove behind the door and so did brad. We were extremely close and our hands bushed past each other. I smiled to myself. Then I heard Laura from outside. "Why are you knocking....just walk in as always" he sassed which made me laugh. She barged through the door and everyone jumped out. "SUPPRISE!" "Omg" she gasped and she covered her moth with her hand in shock. "Omg guys.....thank you" she squealed. We all smiled. "I can't believe you did this" she laughed. "You are our best friend why we would do it" I smiled. She didn't reply she just brought me, James, Connor, brad and Tris in for a huge hug.
