Chapter 5- So do they like me?

I lay in bed looking up at the ceiling just thinking about what happened yesterday. It was all so magical. I would have never thought something like this could or would happen to me out of all people. Luke was just so sweet and gentle. He treated me like I was the most fragile thing ever. At the thoughts of all of this I felt myself blush. I honestly need to work on this whole blushing thing.

I heard my phone ding from my bedside table indicating I had a text. I lazily stretched to get my phone only to  find I had a text from an unknown number. I was afraid to get random texts or phone calls from people I didn't know. I was always afraid it was a murder and who would come out to get me. Yeah some creepy shit has happened in my past neighborhoods. I reluctantly read the message. "Hey babe, It's Luke btw. I asked your best friend for your number since we didn't give it to each other :)" As I read it my heart fluttered. He's so cute..and here comes the blush...right on cue! I decided Id respond since itd be the best thing to do. "Hey! Thought you were a murder for a minute there ;)" yeah my response wasn't the best buy hey, at least I sent something back. I decided id add him to my contacts as "My penguin Luke<3"

Since I wasn't expecting a quick response I decided to go on twitter and see what was going on. As I opened the app I saw I had a bunch of mentions and new followers. Ok let me tell you this, I am not a very popular person, nor do I put myself out there for people to know who I am. Ive tried and lets just say I earned 2 follows from my long lost cousins..so the fact that there are so many people on my profile is just a tad bit odd. As I start to scroll I realize why all of the commotion was happening. There was a picture of me and Luke at the park and it was uploaded by...Calum? What? No way! I decided to look him up and yes indeed there was the picture. It was when Luke was starting to lean in and I was blushing (shocker). I cant believe this is out there! Now people will....well what are people saying?

Well l just spent the past 2 hours looking through my mentions. Some people were lovely saying things like "you're so pretty! oh my gosh such a cute couple! look at her blush its adorable!" and then there were the mean ones "Shes a slut. Get away from my man bitch. I HATE YOU! Go die in a whole!" Well aren't some people just nice. I had been so caught up with twitter that I forgot to check my phone. When I did I saw I had 3 missed calls and 42 messages from Luke. Awwww. I decided Id call him back.

I waited for Luke to pick up and after 2 rings his husky voice answered "ANNABELLA" his loudness startled me. Oh boy im in trouble.

"Luke..."

"Where have you been? I was worried sick!" I could tell by just his voice that he was being serious and that warmed my heart.

"I'm sorry. I accidently put my phone on silent and just left it there. I was on twitter.....you know reading and stuff." I wasn't sure if he knew about the picture yet and if he didn't I didn't want him to go and see some of the nasty things that were posted on there.

"Its ok babe. Wait you spent 2 hours on twitter just reading?" I could tell I was going to have to tell him.

"Just go and see for your self." I think that came out a bit bitter, I didn't mean it that way at all. I just didn't have the guts to say it with my own mouth that people were practically cyber bullying me over a picture. I waited a bit. I assumed the was looking because I could hear clicks and his soft breathing in the back ground. And then a loud groan then a sigh. I heard ruffling which I assumed was him picking up the phone again.

"Babe?"

"Yeah, im here."

"I'm so sorry. I didn't know Calum was there. And the fans, they're just protective. It'll be ok. Just promise that you wont believe what they say. Don't let them get to you. Please." His voice had some hurt and I knew he was upset that some of his fans would say things like what they said.

"Luke, I promise. I mean most of them were nice. It was just a few who were saying bad things. I don't want you to worry about it ok?" I heard him sigh. I knew that he was going to want to protect me but sometimes things were going to happen where he wouldn't be able to, and this was one of those times.

"Alright."

"So do they like me?" I know it was a stupid question to ask after everything I read but hey it was worth asking to see what Luke thought.

"For now about 70% do but in a few days all of them will love you." Just by him saying that I felt like the world had stopped. It was really sweet of him to try and cheer me up like that. It was so Luke.

"Well that's a relief. Wouldn't want your fans who I have found out by that your band is called 5 seconds of summer, and it includes you Calum, Michael, and Ashton, to hate me." I heard him chuckle lightly.

"Nah they wont hate you ever. And yes we are 5sos. You should look us up you know, since you are dating one of the guitarist slash singers." So that's what he did in the band. Interesting.

"I think I might just do that Hemmings. Well I unfortunately have to end this lovely conversation but ill text you later."

"Wait before you leave, are you free tonight?" is he about to ask me out on our first date? im getting really nervous and sweaty. Not good.

"Yeah I'm free. Why?" My heart was beating faster and faster.

"Well I was wondering if you'd like to go on a date with me.?" Ahhhh! Yeah I mentally just screamed. I'm such a girl sometimes.

"I'd love to go on a date you with." I tried to say that as calmly as I possible could. I was really freaking out and I'm sure my voice gave it away.

"Well then I'll pick you up at 7. Wear something casual. See you then babe." Before I could respond he hung up. I just stayed frozen in my spot for a bit until it hit me. I'm going on a date with my boyfriend Luke Hemmings tonight. I instantly grinned and jumped out of bed. Today was going to be a great day.
