Chapter 11

I got up the next morning and looked at my phone. I saw that Brittany had sent me almost 30 text messages. I looked over at Dixie and she was sitting there looking at me. She got up and gave me a kiss on the cheek and so I give her a kiss back. I went into the bathroom to take a shower and get dressed in some comfy clothes because I was planning on staying home for the day. When I got out of the shower and got dressed I finally looked at all of the texts Brittany had sent me. The 14th text she sent me was the right one, she had guessed if I had gotten a dog.

Chelsea: Yep I got a dog!! :) Her name is Dixie. :)

Brittany: OMG!!!! Cute!! Can I come over and see her? And we can watch some movies before school starts in a day.

Chelsea: Sure! Do u need a ride?

Brittany: Nope asked my mom and already on my way over! See u in a bit!

Chelsea: K

I looked over at Dixie and saw her pawing at my door, so I took her outside so she could go the bathroom.

"Morning honey," my mom said.

"Morning. Is it okay if Brittany comes over for the day?"

"Yeah, I will be out of the house because I have a charity event to go today."

"Okay."

I looked back and saw that Dixie was done so I let her in. I went to the kitchen and poured new water and dog food into her bowl. She ran over and drank at the water. I walked over to the pantry and got my Wheaties and granola. I set them down on the table when I heard someone yell out my name. I looked over and saw Brittany running towards me her arms open wide to give me a hug. When we were finally done hugging she saw Dixie and let out a high pitch scream. She ran over to Dixie and started to give her hugs and kisses.

"Can you please keep it down out here? I am working on a very hard case and I need it to be quiet," my dad said.

"Sorry dad."

"Sorry Mr. Roberts."

"That is okay. It's just that it is very hard and I am about to crack it."

"Okay we will try to keep it down. We are probably just going to watch movies and talk. Is it okay if we use the home theater?"

"That is fine, just remember to keep it down."

"Okay thanks dad!"

We went to the home theater, and we started to pick out some movies.

"So how was Nathan?"

"Pretty good. I really like him, and he wants me to be his girlfriend!"

"Oh my gosh that is so cute! You two would be perfect for each other!"

"I know! What movie do you want to watch?"

"Mean Girls!" Brittany said smiling at me. So I got Mean Girls out and put it into the DVD player. I went to put some popcorn in the microwave, and when it was done I took it out and put into two bowls. My dad then came out and asked if pizza sounded good for dinner, and I said yes. I took the bowls back and when I came in Brittany had just started the movie. I looked down at my phone and saw that Nathan had texted me.

Nathan: Whatcha doing? :)

Chelsea: Watching Mean Girls

Nathan: Typical :) R u ready for school to start?

Chelsea: No because I don't want to be around annoying girls. Yes because I get to be around u and Brittany for the whole day :)

Nathan: Aww :) talk to u tonight? I have to go finish up signing up for classes :(

Chelsea: Okay have fun! :)

Nathan: I will try

I looked up at the screen and saw that we were already 15 minutes into it.

"What did Nathan want?" Brittany asked.

"Just wanted to know if I was ready for school to start. I told him yes and no."

"I am because that means we will be done with high school for the rest of our lives!"

"Yeah I guess. Let's watch the movie," I said.
