Gabe Brown stepped into the small stream, pulling his white tank top over his head. He didn't see you sitting there watching. He was hot and tired and just wanted to cool off. You thought you had found a quiet, secluded place to read, and for a time, you were completely alone. Sitting with your back against the tree, Gabe didn't see you as he walked down to the edge of the water.

When Gabe first stepped into the stream, you opened your mouth to say something. But when he began taking off his clothes and you saw his gorgeous body, you were speechless.

You weren't supposed to be on the Brown family's land. But after your small boat developed engine trouble just a few miles out, it was Gabe and his brother Matt who rescued you. You have been waiting two days now for them to fix your boat and get you going. You knew right away that Gabe was attracted to you and he did everything he could to stay as close to you as he possibly could. He never took his eyes off of you when you were together. And now, you couldn't take your eyes off of him.

His wide shoulders were a perfect contrast to his trim waist. You should've looked away, but you were mesmerized. But when Gabe reached for the zipper on his pants, you quickly came to your senses.
"Gabe!" You called out to him before he could pull down his zipper and take off his jeans. He turned quickly to face you, his checks turning bright red.
"Hey. I didn't see you there." His rubber boots splashed in the mud as he walked out of the stream toward you.
"No problem." You smiled. "I saw you."
Gabe grabbed up his tank top as he made his way to sit down beside you. He settled his back against the same tree and started twisting his shirt in his hands.
"I just finished the repairs on your boat." He said quietly.
"Oh." You didn't know what else to say. It was surprising how disappointed you were. "Thanks."

You both sat looking at the stream and wondering what to say next. Gabe broke the silence. "I can break your boat again if you want." Gabe dipped his head and looked up at you. His smile was sweet and a little sad.
"Thanks, but no," you laughed. "I don't want to ruin your reputation as a boat repairman."

Gabe pulled his knees up to his chest and rested his muscular forearms on his knees. "I really enjoyed your company these last two days." He turned to look at you and his eyes locked on yours.
"I had a great time, too." You replied sincerely, drinking in the blue of his eyes like water.

After another few minutes of sitting quietly together, Gabe stood up and pulled on his tank top. He held his hand out for you. "I guess it's time we get you on your way."
"I guess so." You hated to leave but you knew you had to get back to town. As you walked back to the beach, Gabe hesitantly reached for you and held your hand. You responded by squeezing his fingers and pressing your arm against his. You didn't know where this would lead, but you wanted him to know you were interested in finding out.

Back aboard your boat, Gabe reached over to start the engine.
"Wrrrrr. Wrrrrr." The engine wouldn't start. Gabe, a little embarrassed now, tried again. "Wrrrrr. Wrrrr."
"I am so sorry." He apologized, looking confused. "It was working fine just a while ago." He reached out to try the starter again.
"Let's not worry about it for tonight." You place your hand on his. "It's getting late. We'll take a look at it again tomorrow."

Gabe nodded his head and your heart raced as he slowly leaned in to give you a kiss. His lips were warm and soft and you began to have a pretty good idea of where this would lead.

On the beach, hidden from view by the trees, Bam and Matt stand watching.
"Do you think they saw us, man?" Bam asked Matt.
"Nah. They didn't see a thing." Matt replied.
"OK, let's get back. We'll come back early tomorrow to reattach the fuel line."

Matt put up his hand. He and Bam bumped fists, then started walking back to the camp.
