Matt and Bam stood at the counter in the small supply store in town. They were arguing again, as usual.

"We don't need that much rope, Matt." Bam's forehead wrinkled with consternation.

"Bam, if we don't get enough, you can't stretch it." Matt countered. "So we need to get more than we think we need."

"You don't know what you're talking about." Bam waved his hand in Matt's face.

"Shut up!" You finally yelled at the two of them. You had been standing behind the counter listening to them argue for five minutes and all they have accomplished is to make you mad.

"Excuse me?" Bam said, stunned that you said anything at all.

Just because you are a girl and because you stand only five-foot-three, people have been overlooking you for years. But these two guys have wasted more of your time than you are willing to allow and you are ready to put an end to it.

"You heard me." You challenged, and placed both your palms flat on the countertop. You leaned forward and gave your most menacing look. "I don't want to hear any more arguing from either of you and neither do my customers. What are you guys, twelve years old? Work it out outside and don't come back until you know what you want!" Your gray eyes flashed as you looked angrily between the two of them.

Bam looked at you and started to say something. Before he could open his mouth you cut him off. "Outside!" You pointed toward the door and then looked at Matt. "You too. Go!" Bam, too stubborn for his own good, started to speak again. You cut him off midsentence with a lifted index finger. "So help me, dude, I will smack you so hard...!"

Bam lifted his palms in surrender and turned to give Matt a punch on the arm. "Come on, Skippy." Matt rolled his eyes at Bam. He hated when Bam called him that.

The two brothers stood outside on the sidewalk, still arguing. You didn't really care as long as they did it outside. You had at first thought they were both really cute, and you had entertained some ideas of flirting with them. But not now. "such boys!" You mutter. There was talk around town that there were five brothers in the family, all between the ages of twenty-three and thirty-two. At age twenty-four, you are still looking for that special someone, but have decided you definitely will not be looking in that family!

When Matt and Bam finally returned to the counter, you waited unsmiling with your hands on your hips.

"What will it be, gentlemen?" And you used the term 'gentlemen' loosely.

Matt looked at Bam and Bam looked back at Matt. Neither one spoke. You waited and looked from one to the other. Finally, Matt worked up his nerve and blurted out the words. "We need a twenty-foot rope and your phone number." Your mouth dropped open you were so shocked.

"You. Are. Insane!" You spoke through gritted teeth. "If you think for one minute I would go out with either one of you, then you just don't know how to think!" You were so angry you were shaking.

"No, no.!" Bam steps back a little, clearly unnerved by your response. He reached up and scratched his forehead with his thumb. "No. Not for us, but for one of our brothers."

"Not. Ever." You didn't even care what the brother looked like, you were not interested.

"Really," Matt smiled through his nervousness. "Our brother Gabe is really sweet and quiet and..." You waited for him to finish knowing there was nothing he could say to make you want to meet Gabe. "And he's nothing at all like Bam or me!" Matt finished.

"Oh." Your voice was barely a whisper. You look at the two brothers who clearly thought enough of their brother Gabe to risk asking you for your phone number. "Well guys. If he's nothing like either of you," Bam raised his eyebrows slightly at the insult but decided to let it go. "Then I'll give you my number."

Bam and Matt felt that the best way to have you meet Gabe was on a blind date. "He's not really good on the phone," Bam told you. "He's much better in person."

Oh, Good grief, you think. What is it with these guys? But you agreed to meet Gabe at a small pizza restaurant in town and you are now sitting waiting for him to show up. You have been waiting more than twenty minutes past the scheduled time and you are starting to get a little ticked off. Just before you decided to get up and walk out, the door opened and a curly-haired guy with shoulders almost as wide as the door rushes in. His blue eyes searched the restaurant quickly and his eyes immediately found yours.

"Yesssss." You mumbled under your breath and lifted your hand to wave him over to your table.

"Hi, I'm Gabe." His smile was so adorable you couldn't help smiling back at him. Except for the curly hair, he didn't look very much like his brothers Bam or Matt. And he was so much bigger! You tried to keep your eyes on his face. But as he removed his black leather jacket, the sight of his bulging arms and shoulders gave you such a sensation that you had to cross your legs and shift a little in your seat.

"Hi Gabe." You tried to keep your voice steady.

"Thanks for meeting me." Gabe dropped easily into the chair across from you, and leaned his meaty forearms on the table. "You are even prettier than Bam and Matt said." Gabe grinned shyly.

"I have to admit, I wasn't sure I wanted to meet you." At Gabe's confused look, you laughed and continued. "Your brothers are a little crazy." You admitted with a smile.

"Yeah, they are. But they're great guys when you get to know them."

Gabe caught the server's attention and ordered pizza for you. You asked him a few questions about himself and his family and he asked questions about you. It surprised you that talking with him was so easy. Between bites of pizza, you found out that he loves old movies and does silly voices and imitations. After one really funny impression, you laughed so hard that you started to choke on your slice of pizza. Gabe immediately jumped up and moved to the seat beside you, patting you gently on the back.

"I'm so sorry." Gabe laughed as his hand continued to pat and stroke your back.

"No, I'm fine!" You couldn't stop laughing.

Gabe, now sitting so close to you, met your eyes. He shook his head a little. "You are really beautiful." He spoke so quietly, you weren't sure if he meant for you to hear. But you did.

"All better?" When you nodded your head, he reached onto your plate and grabbed up a slice of pizza. "Last piece. Want to share?" Gabe's arm was still around your back and the heat from him made you feel light-headed and out of breath. You nodded your head again; afraid of what you might say.

Gabe slid the small slice of pizza between your teeth, watching you as you bit down. You placed your hand on his for a moment, letting your tongue reach out to lick his finger. Gabe's eyes widened. Before you could change your mind, you moved the pizza slice out of the way and pulled his finger into your mouth, sucking quickly and gently before letting go.

Gabe immediately leaned over and placed his mouth on yours. You both could taste the pizza on each other's lips.

"I really like pizza." He spoke with his lips still close to yours.

"Me, too." You agreed and moved in for another taste.
