A Familiar Place

READER'S POV

I felt something warm against me.

I blinked and felt an arm wrapped around my waist.

"T-t-toothless?"

I heard someone cough and hug me tighter.

"Not now, Valka..... I still want to sleep."

Valka.

I missed her a lot too.

She was like a mother to me.

I miss her care towards me.

I miss Berk.

"Toothless...... please wake up."

He blinked open and sleepily rubbed his eyes.

"(Y/N)??? I thought we were in the forest?"

I blushed red and scanned the surroundings.

We appeared to be in the dungeons.

"Thank goodness you're awake. I thought Dagur poisoned you....."

"H-heather? Why are you in the dungeons?!"

I ran to the bars and saw my friend stroking a metallic silver dragon with hypnotizing green eyes in a cell near me.

"I attacked him. After he sent you here, I lost it and tried to get him to release you."

"Yea..... dont explain anymore....."

"Well, I know this isnt the best time to do this, but, (Y/N), this is Windshear. My dragon."

Windshear stepped out of the shadows a bit so I could see her better.

"Pleasure to meet you....." she crooned.

"Same....." I whispered.

"Where are the boys?"

"They disappeared after we were captured."

"I hope they get to find Hiccup....."

After that, she stayed quiet but spoke again after a few minutes.

"Im really tired, (Y/N)..... Dagur knocked me out pretty bad. Ill be resting here..... Im sorry but.... my head really hurts..... ugh....."

I heard a thump and a loud purring.

"Toothless? Are you okay?"

"Yea.... my head hurts though....."

I bent down and checked his head.

"A bad bruise. No blood..... I may not be as good as Heather with this stuff, but I can tell it'll heal soon....."

"T-thanks....."

I sat down next to him and lay my head on his chest.

"How're going to escape?"

"I dont know....."

We lay there in silence as I tried to think of ways to escape....

But the chances of us escaping are dwindling in the single digits now.

I cried as I thought about all the pain Toothless and I have been through these few days.

"I'll never leave you..... just letting you know....." he whispered.

I listened to his heartbeat which quickened every second.

"I promise....."
