Our Night On Valentine's Day

Fight

School started like a normal day. Nothing unusual happened. But then that happened.

"Elsa." Jack was running towards Elsa who was just taking out some books from her locker and putting them into her cute vintage bag, cute enough to be a beach bag.

Elsa was obviously surprised with Jack's sudden greeting. The cause of her small jump made her wavy hair bounce. "Jack?" She frowned curiously.

"Elsa-" He paused, taking a deep breath. "Now I know you wanted me to be-"

"What are you doing here Jack?" A tall red-haired boy appeared from behind the skinny girl, slamming her locker shut. He placed one of his arms around Elsa's shoulder. But she roughly pulled away his hand.

Hans took a step closer to Jack leaving exactly no space for Elsa.

"Listen Hans, I just want one second with Elsa," he said truthfully, pointing one finger up when he mentioned 'one'.

"Okay, one. Oops, time's up." He clapped his hands once sarcastically and pushed Elsa to their next class gently. "Let's go Elsa."

Jack stepped in front of Elsa and said, "look Elsa, this is very important to me." Jack pleaded, ignoring Hans.

"Listen here slacker." Hans pushed Jack with just one finger, poked his chest. Jack was forced backwards, half-surprised.

"Now Hans. I just want a moment with Elsa. Can you respect tha-" Jack couldn't finnish his words. Hans wouldn't let him. "Respect that? Respect this!"

Hans' fist swung and landed onto Jack's cheek roughly. It felt like there was a big rock under his skin. Jack fell onto his back on the floor exactly at Hiccup's feet.

Everyone there turned to the two. Three - including Elsa. Time felt like it had stopped itself and the only sound heard was an anxious heartbeat.

Hiccup helped Jack stand on his feet. He was surprised as well but he didn't say a word. So did Jack. Even if he had something to say, he didn't get the chance to.
"What's going on here?" A teacher appeared from the audience. Her hair was a mess, her eyes were baggy and she looked awfully tired but the students didn't seem to give her time to rest.

"They were fighting, Miss Skulnik." Someone said out loud. The hallway was quiet. Really quiet.

It didn't take much time for Miss Skulnik to know who were involved. "You two! In the principal's office now!" She pointed to Jack and Hans.

"But Jack didn't-" Hiccup wanted to defend his friend but Jack wouldn't let him. "It's okay Hiccup."

Everyone was left in complete curiosity since this was those what-now? kind of situation.

"Are you really gonna let him go?" Hiccup asked Elsa as they watched Hans and Jack heading to the principal's office with Miss Skulnik leading the way.

Elsa felt a little bit of pain. She still liked Jack. She always have but it was dangerous to tell some boy about it especially Hiccup. So, she said something else. "What about you? You already let her go."
