"Fred. Can I ask you something?" Jack and Fred were in the library because of detention due to the fact that they were late for Art Class just now.
There were a few other students too - Dash Baxter, Kevin, Gwen, Medusa and some others.
"Yeah, sure," Fred answered shortly, reading some Marvel comics.
"Have you ever fell in love with two people and you don't know who to choose because you really love both of them?" Jack looked at Fred, his head tilting sideways.
Fred put down his comic and faced in front - to exactly nowhere and answered Jack like a father answering his curious son's questions. "No. But I do know one thing. When you're in love with two people, choose the second one because if you really love the first, you wouldn't have fallen for the second." With that, Fred continued reading his comic book, leaning into his chair like he was going to slide down.
Jack remained quiet and stared onto the desk. What Fred said could be true. But he was still unsure. He likes Elsa but he likes Toothiana too. The fact that Fred told him to choose the second, didn't change his feelings. He still likes Elsa the same as he likes Tooth.
"So who are the ladies?" Fred asked, not taking his eyes off of his comic. "Toothiana? Elsa?" But he guessed it already before Jack could answer. Fred smiled as he read the comic which he wasn't really reading.
Jack wasn't shocked that Fred knew. It didn't matter who knew. It was that he didn't know himself bothered his thoughts.
"But what I really think is.." Fred looked away from his comic and looked at Jack straight through him like looking at a transparent, colourless glass. "Is for you to follow your heart," he continued. Honestly.
