Pity You

"This cupcake makes me feel young again!" Ruff cheered, taking a bite of a vanilla cupcake with peanut butter fillings and chocolate chips as toppings.

They were at the Lucky Cat Café where treats were baked fresh from the oven and made with love. Aunt Cass' cafe was by far one of the most popular place to be at this moment.

"You are already young Ruffnut." Elsa shook her head as she smiled at her kiddy friend. She was the only one who hasn't got her order yet.

"Yeah, but they're really, really good. It literally makes you feel hyper active." Astrid giggled after she took a bite of her soft ginger cookie. "Want some?" She offered to Elsa.
Elsa smiled at her as she took a piece.

"So are you guys going anywhere later? Do you guys need to buy anything else?" Heather questioned before they left for home.

"Nope. I got my shoes, my dress and everything I need." Astrid checked her shopping bag.

"Okay then let's go." They went to the parking lot and hoped onto Astrid's Deadly Nader and drove to school to pick up Anna and Rapunzel before they leave to their sorority homes.

Hiccup and Jack were still at the mall, wandering, strolling around till they bumped into a redhead.

"Merida! What're you doing here?" Hiccup put on a smile. Jack did the same.

"Oh my Gosh, hi! I was just going shopping and all." She flashed a princess smile - a pretty one, not the arragont one.

"Alone?" Jack crossed his arms, making that gurl-why-you-lyin facial expression.

"Oh no, it's me and my mum." Merida didn't hesitate at all. She said it without fear and positivity in her mind.

Going out with a mom would not be the ultimate thing to do but it was to Merida. She loved her mom more than anyone else. She was her best friend. Is her best friend.

"Merida!" Her mother called as she walked into Tiana's Place.

"I guess I have to go." She looked at her mother then back at the boys.

"Later," said Jack, shoving his waving hand into his jean pocket.

Merida waved shortly and headed to the restaraunt. Her beautifully outdone braids swung when she tilted her head, making it to almost slap Jack's cheek.

"Wait." Hiccup caught up with the girl. He wasn't done with her yet.

Merida looked cute with the orange scarf on her head. It pulled back her bangs, exposing her fully shiny face. She didn't say anything. Instead, she only waited for Hiccup to answer.

"What're you doing?" Jack whispered. His mind was full of curiosity.

"Merida," he hesitated, playing with his own fingers nervously while his best friend waited patiently. "Would you.. I don't know." He ran a hand over his fluffy hair.

"What?" Jack widened his eyes, couldn't believe this was happening.

"Yes?" Merida was being patient. So was her mother.

"Would you go to prom with me?" Hiccup finnished his sentence.

"You what?!" Jack almost yelled. His forehead, wrinkling. Eyes, widening. And his voice sounded almost like a girl.

Merida too, was shocked by this. She took a step back, carefully absorbing Hiccup's words. "Oh," she said.

"Please say no, please say no." Jack begged with his hands together, shaking his head.

"Are you only doing this out of pity?" Merida questioned. She felt suspicious. Something's not right. And totally ignoring Jack.

And Hiccup felt the same. He had never seen this side of Merida. So mature. So smart. So brave.

"What?-" Merida cut him off.

"You know, you don't have to pity me." She spoke for herself.

"No, I know. I know." Hiccup looked down to her chocolate boots. "I'm not asking out of pity-"

"Merida!" Her mother called again.

"Look I really have to go. Can we talk next time? I'm so sorry." She walked to the fancy restaraunt, not turning back at all.

"Hiccup." Jack pinched his shoulders gently. "What have you got yourself into." He smacked his head.

"Ow," is what he just said.
