I finished my lecture class for the day and I was gonna head to the library. I notice my shoelace was untied so I bent down to tie it.
"Do you have a blue dress you can wear tonight." I looked up and saw Yongguk who must have gotten out of class too.
"No I don't." I finished tying my shoe and continued to the library.
"Did you forget that we were going out tonight?" He said in his low voice that I must admit, I found a little intimidating.
"No I didn't forget. You went to my phone settings to make sure I constantly get reminders when we have a date." What a control freak. "I guess I'll just ask Hyosung if she has a blue dress."
"Why can't you just buy one for yourself?"
"I don't really like going shopping. I prefer to either save my money or only spend it on necessities."
Yongguk shook his head sympathetically, "Poor people are so pathetic. Let's go." He held my wrist and started walking in the opposite direction of my intended destination.
"Um excuse me. Rude much? And--" I snatched my arm back, "You can stop dragging me around like that."
"Just get in the car," He said sounding irritated with me. If anyone should be irritated it should be me.
---
He parked in a shopping plaza and told me to get out of the car. I'm 99.9% sure this guy wasn't raised with any manners. We walked into a store and I checked my watch. This was cutting into my homework time. "Why did you take me here?"
"I'm taking you shopping."
"No no no don't. You're already paying me, you don't have to take me shopping also."
"Yeah but you don't spend your money on anything fun. Do you seriously spend all of it on school?"
I nodded.
"Should I start paying you more?"
My eyes widened. "No it's alright, really. I already said I could borrow a dress from Hyosung so we don't have to be here right now."
He shrugged and ran his hand through the racks of clothes. " Well I think you deserve at least that much."
I puffed my cheeks as I tried to figure out what kind of guy Yongguk actually is. He's mostly a jerk but then he's nice like 0.1% of the time.
He looked at me just looking at him, "What are you staring at? Hurry up and find something. I know girls take a long time to shop, so go."
There's a jerk part again.
I mindlessly went to the part of the store where dresses were on sale and I chose the first plain blue dress that I saw. "Ok I'm done."
Yongguk didn't even look at the dress before putting it back on the rack. "Go find something sexier."
I frowned, "No sexy dresses."
"Something shorter."
"No short dresses."
"Something tighter."
"No tight dresses."
He glared at me, "You're frustrating. If we're going to a party you can't be wearing something you'd wear when you're going to meet your grandparents." He wandered into a section where it was obvious how short the dresses were. I don't think you could even call them dresses. They kind of just looked like tank tops. Basically, they wouldn't cover up anything.
He chose 3 dark blue dresses and told me to go try them on in the changing room. As I was about to enter, one of the saleswomen approached me, "I'm sorry these are the women's changing rooms. The men's changing rooms are on the other side."
