A/n* just wondering. When you read this book, what era do you imagine Yongguk to be in? I just imagine him in the Young Wild & Free era bc I love his suave look

I was just on my bed with my laptop and there was only 10% battery left. I groaned in agony because I was all comfortable with all my pillows and blankets and it was nice and warm but now I would have to get up and go plug in the charger.

Suddenly, Hyosung popped out of her bed and grabbed the charger for me, "Need me to do this for you?" She asked happily and plugged the charger into the outlet.

"Oh yeah, thanks." I said. "I really didn't want to get up."

"Is there anything else you need?"

"Um no?" I arched my eyebrow, "I'm fine."

"I can close the curtains for you. I see there's a glare hitting your laptop screen." She ran over to the window and closed the curtain. Then she went over to the mini fridge and took out a juice box for me.

She sat on the edge of my bed and was giving me this sort of look and I knew she wanted something.

"Ok Hyosung, what is it?" I set my laptop aside and waited for her to explain.

"It's just that I need a little favor..."

Of course. "Ok sure. What is it?"

"Do you think you can fill as a date for me?" She bit her lip, awaiting for my reply.

"Uhhh what do you mean exactly?"

"Gahhh it's just that a VIP guy requested me on the app and I realllllllllly don't want to go, but you know, since he's a stupid VIP member, I can't deny the request. So0o0o0o0o0 if you do this one favor for me, I will be eternally grateful!!"

Uhh I didn't expect this to be the type of favor that she needs.

"I'm not so sure..."

"Why do you want to skip out on it so badly?"

"Because he's someone I went to high school with. I don't think he knows that we already know eachother, but if he sees me in person, he'll know for sure. And it's just awkward for people from my high school to know what I'm doing. Pleasssseee I don't wanna have to go with him."

I've never seen Hyosung so desparate. She was hugging me--squeezing me, actually-- and her voice was so high pitched. "JIEUN! PLEASE!!!!! OR ELSE I WILL CRY!"

I pinched her lips between my index finger and thumb so that I wouldn't have to hear her whine anymore. "Don't be so loud. Our neighbors will wonder what's going on in here."

"JIEUN!!!!!! PLEASE!!!!!!"

"OK FINE. JUST SHUT UP!" I resorted to screaming, but that did definitely shut her up.

"YAY! Thank you thank you thank you."

"This is just gonna be a one time thing, OK?"

Hyosung nodded eagerly and gave me another tight hug. "Ok. Now you have to get ready."

So later that night, I met with the guy who was supposed to be Hyosung's date. His name was Raehwan and he seems like a nice guy. I would have preferred not to have gone out tonight, but if someone from my high school requested me, I wouldn't want them knowing that I was on this app either.

"So...tonight might be a little different than the other dates that you've been on, so I just want to apologize in advance." Raehwan said to me while fiddling with his hands.
