Chapter 30: The Last List

Tonight I was going over to Yongguk's dorm and I wanted to make sure that I look nice. After looking at myself in the mirror, I headed downstairs to the dorm's main entrance where I bumped into Arin.

"Oh hey Jieun, where're you going?" She had a paper bag full of snacks in her arms and I assume she was going to spend the night in her dorm eating and watching dramas.

"Um I'm going over to Yongguk's dorm." I walked past her, "I'll see you later."

"Wait." She grabbed the garter of my skirt and pulled me back to face her. "A nice skirt--that's a little shorter than what you usually wear. A buttoned blouse--that's fairly easily to take off. And--" She stepped closer and sniffed me, "Perfume from Victoria's Secret. Are you planning to seduce him tonight?"

Girls who were walking by us, stopped for a nanosecond and stared. I just covered my face and lowered my voice, "W-why can't I just look nice? Why does there have to be some sort of hidden intention behind it?"

"Well it's 10pm and you're just going to be going to Yongguk's dorm. You could have simply worn some leggings and a sweater, but those kinds of clothes cover up too much. Also the fact that your face became red and you're super nervous right now makes it obvious that my assumption is right."

"Ugh fine. Well I don't exactly plan to do it per se. But if it happens...then it happens?" I whispered and tucked a hair behind my ear.

"Hmm...well ok. Good luck." Arin gave me a cheerful wave and got into the elevator. Oh ok...

I arrived at Yongguk's dorm and knocked on the door. Before I came here, I stopped by the bakery on campus and bought some cupcakes to bring over.

When Yongguk opened the door, instead of looking at me, his eyes went directly to the box of cupcakes, and a smile appeared on his voice. "Oh, I love these."

I walked inside and set the box on the counter. "Wow so are you not happy to see me? Would you prefer I just leave these here and go back to my dorm?"

"Yeah that's fine with me." He smirked and gave me a sarcastic eye smile.

"Hmph fine. Then I guess I'll be going." I teasingly turned my back, but Yongguk called out to wait and he pulled me back.

"I'm joking, obviously," He placed his hands on my shoulders and lightly kissed my forehead. Which I guess made me forgive him for liking the cupcakes more than me. "I just came back from practice and I didn't have dinner yet, so let's get something."

I agreed to his idea and we left the dorm together to get food at the only place still open on campus. We both got ramen which is like my favorite thing to eat late at night and took a seat at a table.

Yongguk stirred his noodles with his chopsticks as he waited for it to cool. I noticed him looking up and me and commented, "You look very cute today."

"I'm cute everyday." I said as a joke--obviously.

"Yeah you are." He replied, causing me to hold in an embarrassed laugh. "Hey...do you still talk to Arin?"

I nodded, "Yeah, I see her around often, well she mostly just pops out of nowhere, but yeah, I talk to her." I guess you could also say that our relationship is better now that she isn't trying to steal Yongguk, and Hyosung is on good terms with her.

Yongguk groaned in annoyance, "Is she still talking about...weird stuff with you?"

Depends. Do you count "weird stuff" as Arin discussing her past physical relationship with you and describing to me in excruciating detail the tactics in which she knows how you get turned on---even when I tell her countless of time that I do not want to hear it?
