Chapter 13: Fast Blossoming Love

After our movie date, Himchan would often drive to Seoul so we would be able to see eachother and hang out.

We were currently in a coffee shop and placed our drinks on a table. I took a sip from my latte once we sat down.

"You have foam on your lips." Himchan pointed out.

I smacked my bottom lip over the top and faced him, "Did I get it?"

"Yeah." He said and I took another sip of my drink. "But it's on your face again." He leaned over and wiped my upper lip with a napkin.

"Thanks." I slightly blushed once he sat back in his chair. Every time we were together, he would always do sweet gestures like that.

"So," he clapped his hands together, "There's a school holiday coming up."

"Oh yeah! I'm excited to get a little break from school."

"Are you doing anything special during the break?"

"Mmm nope. I think Hyosung and I are just going to stay in the dorms."

"Well, if you don't have anything planned, would you like to accompany me on a trip?"

My eyes widened, "A trip? Where?"

"To Italy."

"Italy?? Whoa. Um really??"

"Yes, I have a vacation home there and we will be able to take a plane and arrive in a few hours. You do have a passport, right?"

"W-well yeah but--"

"Great. Then if you would wish to come, I can buy the plane tickets right now." Himchan took out his credit card and started punching numbers into his phone.

"B-but wait--"

He looked up at me and slowly put his card back in his wallet, "Oh I'm sorry. I don't want to force you into coming with me."

"No that's not it. But um, aren't plane tickets to Europe a little expensive?"

He smiled and shook his head, "Not at all. I will have everything covered. So what do you say?"

I drew imaginary circles on the table as I thought of my answer. I didn't think I could give him the reply right then and there. "Can I give you my answer tomorrow? There are things I have to check first."

"Sure that's fine. I can put off buying the tickets.

"TAKE THE OFFER! GO TO ITALY!" Hyosung exclaimed after I told her the news.

"It's a trip with just me and him. Is it too early?"

"I think it's fine. If you like each other, what's the point of playing the waiting game. This is a good opportunity for you to get closer as well. Ooh buy me a cute souvenir."

"I actually would like to go though," I smiled to myself, "and...I trust him."

Hyosung grinned and pinched my cheeks, "You're so cute. I wish I could find love as easily as you."

"I'm not in love. It's only been a few weeks."

"Well it's a fast blossoming love.

"Shut up." I pushed her over and since she was sitting cross legged, she fell on her back. "Be useful and help me remember these drink recipes." Recently I applied for a job at the coffee shop. I got hired, but even with limited training, I have to report to work tomorrow.

"So when the customer comes up to you, you say 'Hello, welcome to our café.' and ask them their order. Remember to always do things with a smile. This is how you open the register and of course, you know what to click to calculate their change. You give the order to whoever is on duty to make drinks and this place runs like an assembly line. Always be polite to the customer. Since you're still on training, you don't have this job permanently so your shift supervisor and I will be watching." The manager of the coffee shop showed me the basics of the café. There was a lot to remember, but every single time, he always had to add something about keeping a smile on and being nice to everyone.
