I just finished getting ready for tonight when I heard a knock on the door. I opened it and saw Himchan standing there with one red rose.

"Hi." I felt my cheeks warm up but I was positive that he couldn't tell. Like Hyosung said, I put on a ton of foundation before hand. "Is this for me?"

"No, this is for my grandma." He answered and I retracted my hand. "I'm just kidding, of course it's for you."

"Oh, right. Sorry. Thank you so much." We both laughed at my awkwardness and I went to go find a vase to put the rose in.

When we got out of the building, Himchan quickened his pace a little bit so that he could open the car door for me. It was just like the first time I met him. He was such a gentleman.

"You like movies, right?" He asked as he drove to a more metropolitan area.

"Yeah I love movies. Is that what where we're tonight?"

"Yup. I hope you don't mind that it's a little casual..."

"No no it's fine. I'll like anything that we do."

------

At the cinema, Himchan bought a big tub of popcorn, 2 drinks, and candy--even though I insisted that he didn't have to. Inside the theater we went to the very top row and settled down. "It looks like it's a slow day," I commented.

Himchan chuckled and put a straw into his soda. "I actually reserved this theater just for us."

"What? Why?" Wow, rich people really spend their money on anything. I thought this was supposed to be "casual."

"Because I wanted it to be just us."

"That's so silly, if you wanted it to be just us, we could have watched a movie at your dorm or something."

I looked over at Himchan who smirked and nudged my shoulder, "Whoa, just us? Alone in my dorm? I think we're moving a little too fast Jieun, but if that's what you want, I guess I can take you back to my dorm--"

"No that's not what I mean," I shoved his shoulder back and even threw a few pieces of popcorn at him.

"I know I know, I'm just joking," He patted my head, but instead of taking his hand off, he kept it atop my head and lightly ran his hand through my hair.

Even thought it was a little unexpected, I didn't mind at all. I kind of enjoyed how gentle he treated me.

"Hey..." He said softly, "You have something in your hair."

"Oh uh really?" I felt around my head trying to get whatever it was out.

"Yeah, some popcorn." Then all of a sudden he gets back at me and throws some popcorn too.

"Wooooow," I hit his chest, "Don't waste food."

"You did it to me first," He managed to say, while still laughing. "We're even now, right."

"I guess." He smiled at me and even if I wanted to, I don't think that I would be able to stay mad at him--or even pretend to be mad at him.

------

When the movie was done, we talked about what we should do next as we walked around.

"Oh. What was that?" Himchan wiped something from his forehead and looked up at the dark sky. Not long after, rain trickled, and then it started pouring.

"C'mon." He took off his jacket and held it over my head and started to run to an area out of the rain. After running, we stopped in front of a store with a roof that shielded us from the rain. "Are you alright?"

"Y-yeah I'm fine, but..." I took a Kleenex from my purse and dabbed it on his face, "You're all wet." I took out more tissue and patted his cheek and neck. I felt guilty because he used his jacket to cover me instead of using it for himself. "I'm sorry."

He held my arm and my hand was still caressing the side of his face. He stared into my eyes and his lips curved up tenderly. "I'm alright. But, thank you."

I felt his heartbeat when he pulled my hand to his chest. His was going at a fairly normal pace, unlike mine, which was beating about a thousand times per minute. He looked to his right and saw that we were standing in front of a convenience store. "We should go in and buy an umbrella."

Once he let go of my hand, I quickly wiped it on my jeans because my palm was getting unreasonably sweaty. He chose a simple black umbrella and went to pay for it at the cashier.

"The cashier told me that there's going to be a storm tonight. Maybe we should just walk back to the car now before it gets more intense." Himchan told me as he opened up the umbrella outside of the store.

The umbrella was just barely big enough for the both of us, but if Himchan kept holding it the way he was, my left shoulder would continue to get wet from the rain.

"Oh no, you should have told me." Himchan noticed that the rain was hitting me and he put his arm around my shoulder, snugging me closer to him. I snuck a few glances at his hand that was just resting on my shoulder and then snapped my head forward.

----

"I'm really sorry we had to cut our date short." He walked me to the front of the dorm building, still holding the umbrella overhead.

"Date..." I said quietly. So this really was a date?

"Er um. Sorry. I think I was the only one who thought this was a date. Forget what I said." He said nervously. "It was just a--uh--a hang out?"

"I'm fine with it being a date." I admitted shamelessly.

"You are? Well that's good," He relaxed, "I hope you had fun tonight."

"I really did. I'm glad we saw each other at the mall today."

"Me too. Well I have to get back to Guri-si. It normally takes an hour to drive from here back to my dorm."

"Ok," I nodded, "Drive safely."

"I will. Thank you again for tonight. I'll see you again." He bent down near my face and softly pressed his lips to my cheek. When he pulled away, I just stared up at him blankly. I really need to learn how to control my expressions.

He walked to his car and stopped for a second to look over his shoulder and wave goodbye to me. I, on the other hand, just stayed in the same exact spot, staring at him like a statue. But nonetheless, throughout the whole evening, Himchan never failed to make my heart beat so fast.
