The boys had soccer practise after school
Faye was at her drama club as usual so like so many times before I was sat on the bleachers waiting for them to finish.
There had been a few comments passed between Luke and Ricky at the start but the coach had put a stop to that. He was a balding, middle aged man but when he went red with anger not one of the boys on the team would even dare to contradict him.
I was glad to see that the team were playing even better than normal; I really did think that they definately stood a chance of winning at the final on Friday.
I had just finished listening to The Pretty Reckless (Faye reckons I look like the lead singer but I don't see it) on my ipod when 'Louder' by DJ Fresh came on, when it got to the fast part I reeeeeally wanted to jump up and start doing a crazy dance but instead I just tapped my feet wildly in all directions. I didn't think the coach would be too impressed if I distracted the soccer team with a Footloose moment.
I jumped when I felt somebody tap me on my shoulder, taking out my earphones and turning to see who it was.
Sara Jeffree was sat on the row behind me, she looked different than she had earlier - she'd changed her clothes and added more makeup. She looked nice enough, though in my opinion it didn't suit her to wear so much makeup.
"Hey?" I said, giving her a small smile
She beamed back at me
"Ricky told me to come back here and we'd go to the cinema after practise. He said we'd drop you off and he'd run in to change and then we could leave"
I frowned, thinking it would of made so much more sense for him to drop me off, get changed and then go pick up Sara
"Yeah you're seeing "Love Is Everything" aren't you?" I said pulling a face
Sara nodded
"It looks so romantic" she cooed, not noticing the look of disgust I wore
I stopped myself from gagging and turned back to watch the soccer team practising
A few of them, including Ricky had taken their tops off because of how warm it was. I'd seen Ricky shirtless a thousand times but now I seemed to appreciate his physique a lot more. He was very athletic and it showed.
"Rickys so hot isn't he?" Sara asked dreamily, climbing over the seat so she was now sat on the same row as me
"Yup he sure is" I replied, my eyes never leaving him as he ran round the pitch
When had he stopped being my normal Ricky and turned into this beautiful specimen? I mean he'd always looked like this but now I seemed to notice it more
I jumped when I realised what I'd said to Sara
"You know if you're into the good looking, nice, friendly, athletic type" I babbled, "Which I'm not at all"
Great, I'd just made it sound like my ideal man was a troll.
"So what was it like kissing Luke Wilden?" Sara asked, giving me her full attention
She looked way too excited to hear my response
"Like kissing a toad" I replied bluntly
"There's no way somebody as hot as Luke Wilden could kiss bad" she frowned shaking her head, refusing to accept what I'd said
