Sorry thats it's been so long, I've been doing sooo many night shifts and I'm just cream crackered but I shall be updating more regularly, including my new story too... which you should go read!

Please comment so I know what you think, sounds like bribery but I really do feel more motivated to quickly update when I know loadsa people are enjoying it :)

Something blowing on my face woke me up and I stirred sleepily, slowly opening one eye to see what it was that had woken me up from my contented state of sleep.

Rickys face was mere millimetres from mine and he was still fast asleep, breathing in deeply and then exhaling - hence the blowing on my face. He had his arms wrapped around me tightly and I guessed this was why I'd slept so well.

I considered wriggling out of his grasp but changed my mind and stayed in his arms, watching him as he slept. 

He was so handsome; I don't know how I'd been friends with him all this time and not fallen head over heels for him. Well obviously I had now but it had taken forever, now that I thought about it it seemed stupid that we'd wasted so much time.

He stirred slightly and let out a small moan (the kind people make when waking up - not the dodgy kind). I squeezed my eyes closed and feigned sleep so that he wouldn't open his eyes and think that I was a crazy weirdo who had spent ages watching him sleep.

I felt his arms tighten around me and opened my eyes as if it had woken me up

"Morning sleepyhead" he said croakily

I smiled at him

Being my usual neurotic self I started worrying that maybe he regretted coming over the night before and the insanely long make out session that followed; I didn't have chance to obsess over this for long because he moved his face even closer to mine and gave me a long, lingering kiss

"What was that for?" I asked, hoping he didn't notice my cheeks going pink

"Just because I can" he replied, his face stretching into a wide smile

He looked almost as happy as I felt

"Erm Ricky" I said slowly, biting my lip, "I think maybe we should just be friends"

He let out a loud laugh and rolled himself so that he was now on top of me

"Hmmm" he said faking that he was thinking it over, "I don't think so Emz"

I giggled as he lowered his face so that his lips rejoined mine again

We'd ended up breaking our record for our longest kissing session, I was looking forward to breaking that same record over and over again. Make up for lost time and all that.

Right now we were both eating peanut butter sandwiches in my kitchen and I was filling him in about what he'd missed at the prom

"I'm telling you, Eugene had some serious moves" I laughed as Ricky shook his head in disbelief

The phone rang and I picked up the cordless phone I'd put beside me

"Hello?" I answered

"Emily how was the prom?" my mum asked

I filled her in on the fact I'd been voted prom queen and she screamed so loudly you would think that it was her that had won

"Did anything else happen?"  she asked
