Even though I usually like to have a lie in on a Sunday as well (bite me - it's a teenage privelege!) I set my alarm for 8am Sunday morning; I was going shopping with Faye and all three boys today and I needed to speak to Faye first. Faye only lived about a 10 minute walk from mine so I decided to walk instead of begging my mum for a lift, I should of though to highlight again the fact that she should get me a car. I asked her to tell Ricky when he came round that I was going to meet him at the mall with Faye instead of getting a lift there with him like we'd planned.
When I got to Fayes her mum Barbara opened the door; as soon as you meet Barbara it's like a lightbulb goes off in your head and you're like "Ahhh so thats where Fayes personality comes from". It's hilarious because her dad and brother are such chilled out, laidback people and then Faye and her mum constantly seem as if they have had far too much caffeine. She let me in and I ran upstairs to Fayes room.
Faye is the opposite to me and I knew she'd already be wide awake, fully dressed and doing something. Sure enough when I went in her room she was on the phone talking to somebody while tackling the homework we'd been set in History.
"I'll call you later" she spoke into the phone when she saw me before hanging it up and patting the space on the bed next to her for me to sit down.
I obliged and pulled a face when I saw her expectant face
"Spill" she grinned
"What makes you think theres anything to spill?" I asked slowly. There was something but I wanted to know how she could tell that.
"Duhhh Emily Richards you would not be at my house on a Sunday morning at this time unless you had something important to tell me" she laughed
Alas, she knows me well!
"Ok well...." I started
I launched into the story about my date "with Reece" and how Luke had turned up and how he'd been hounding me for a date prior to this and how Ricky had warned me off him but that it was stupid really because it was all because of soccer. Faye gasped out many responses such as "Noooo way!", "Shut up!", "Get out of here!" as I told her everything; it made me feel like I was telling her what had happened on a crazy soap opera.
"This is so not what I had planned!" she shouted when I finished telling her
"What exactly did you have planned?" I asked, puzzled
Faye made a swatting motion with her hand as if she was getting rid of what she'd just said, "It doesn't matter, it could still work"
"Ok, since when did we decide we would talk in riddles?" I asked, still puzzled
Faye completely ignored me and started talking very quickly to herself; I have mentioned before that this girl is crazy.
"So are you going to go on another date with him?" Faye asked me, a slight smirk on her face
"That's why I'm here..."
After I'd gone home with my mum the night before I'd been messaging Luke a lot. Amongst all the sweet messages he sent me we'd agreed that I would go to his Sunday night after I'd gone shopping at the mall with Faye and the boys. He'd tried to get me to cancel my shopping plans but I said no.
"I don't want Ricky to know" I felt a bitch just saying that out loud, "So if I crash at yours tonight Luke can get me from here and then I'll come back here after"
