As Kagami entered the room she couldn't help but pause for a moment. The chandeliers had all been lit and she had never seen that happen before. They were beautiful, made of silver metal and crystal that reflected the light through their surface. Kagami couldn't help but admire the detailed bordering on the walls. Ouran truly was a stunning piece of architecture. But knowing that Mitsuki would never bother to admire architecture, Kagami forced herself to tear her eyes away from the walls.

At first, everyone was too busy enjoying themselves to notice the two people who had just entered the ballroom. But as Kagami and Hotaru started walking forward, she saw a few people looking at her in shock. Girls started nudging each other and pointing at her with excited fingers. One girl in a green dress saw her and fainted into her friend's arms. Kagami smirked in that direction and the girl's friend looked like she was about to faint as well. The two boys who had come with them were now glaring jealously. Ignoring them, Kagami started to lead Hotaru in the direction of the dance floor but two very irritated voices made her pause.

"What are you doing here?"

Turning, Kagami saw Hikaru and Kaoru standing behind her with their arms crossed, both looking extremely irritated.

"Well I didn't come here for a photo shoot if that's what you're wondering." Kagami said mockingly. "I'm here to enjoy myself, just like everyone else."

The twins glared at her.

"Whatever." They said with a shrug. "Just don't go trying to steal our customers away."

"Why? Are you jealous." Kagami asked, taking a step towards them.

Seeing the dangerous look in her eyes, the twins warily took a step back. Unfortunately, they had backed themselves into a wall so there was nowhere left for them to go. Stepping forward, Kagami made sure that she was just close enough to them that she knew many people were getting the wrong idea.

"Maybe," she said in a fake whisper that everyone could hear, "you wanted me for yourselves this evening."

Half the girls in ballroom screamed in delight at this point. Hikaru and Kaoru were both speechless with shock, something that probably didn't happen to them very often. Victory was hers.

"Too bad!" Kagami called as she walked back towards Hotaru. "I have absolutely no interest in guys."

Once again taking Hotaru's hand, Kagami walked onto the ballroom where the orchestra was just starting up a waltz. She bowed and Hotaru, blushing hugely, curtsied in return. Positioning their hands, they started whirling around the ballroom. Hotaru was actually a really good dancer. She kept her eyes on her partner and didn't need to look down at her feet to make sure she was performing the steps right and she did it with a natural grace that most people didn't possess. Kagami had no worries about matching her though. Her love for dancing in general, and waltzes in particular, had helped her to memorize the steps by the time she was eight years old. And since neither of them had to focus their attention on dancing, they were able to start up a conversation.

Hotaru spoke first. "Do you know the twins?"

"Yeah I do. Unfortunately." Kagami said, letting her irritation show in her voice. "I met them at the studio I was modeling in a couple of days ago."

"Oh." Hotaru seemed to be wondering about something and Kagami had a pretty good idea what it was.

"Sorry if what I did earlier made you uncomfortable or anything." She said. "I just wanted to teach those two a lesson. They've been getting on my nerves from the moment I first met them."

"Well," Hotaru said hesitantly. "The way they were speechless was pretty funny."

"Wasn't it?" Kagami grinned. "But I promise I won't do anything else like that tonight. For the rest of the evening, I am completely yours."
