Unlovable

Chapter Forty-One

Mori's POV:

Mori watched Kagami out of the corner of his eye. This time, he was very careful not to let her catch him because she seemed to be in a fowl mood. She did a fantastic job of hiding it, but Mori could see the rage that was boiling just underneath the surface.  And although her anger appeared to be directed mainly at Hikaru, Kaoru, and Kyoya, Mori did not want her ending up mad at him as well. She already ignored him most of the time, he didn't need her giving him the cold shoulder completely. He would miss interacting with her too much. But even though Mori was worried about gaining Kagami's wrath, he still observed her surreptitiously. 

Something had happened to her, that much was obvious from the way she was acting. It wasn't odd for her to be angry at the twins, but the way she looked at Kyoya, with barely contained, seething fury, that was definitely not normal. And although Kyoya, Hikaru, and Kaoru were attempting to act like nothing was wrong, Mori could tell that something had shaken them, a something that was more than likely Kagami. Everything had been completely fine between them at school yesterday though, so whatever had happened had to have occurred that morning. Mori only wished he knew what Kyoya, Hikaru, and Kaoru had done to make Kagami so enraged.

"Alright." A deep, male voice called out. "You all look great! But Tamaki, you're blocking Mitsuki from the shot. Could you please move to your left a bit more?"

"Really Tamaki," Kagami sighed "This is the twenty-third time you've managed to stand directly in front of me. You could at least pretend like you're not jealous." 

Kagami shook her head in mock disappointment. At least, Mori was almost positive that the person he was looking at was Kagami. She was wearing a short black wig, her eyes were gray, and she was calling herself Mitsuki, but Mori was still pretty sure it was her. They just looked to similar, and the way they acted was also very similar. And although this wasn't very logical, Mori simply felt like they were the same person. 

As Mori continued to watch Kagami, he couldn't help but wonder what had made her start modeling in the first place. She didn't seem like the type of person who would go into modeling on her own. Although he had to admit that she was incredibly good at it. Now matter where she was positioned on the set, her posture and expressions drew everybody's attention. Not even Tamaki and his looks could outdo her.

After Tamaki reluctantly re-positioned himself, the photographer snapped a couple of pictures. Kagami remained perfectly still, her expression completely calm. Mori was once again impressed by her skill. Hikaru, Kaoru, and Tamaki were all beginning to look slightly uncomfortable, and Mori was feeling a little strained from holding the same position for so long. The fact that Kagami didn't look even the smallest bit phased was pretty incredible.

"Okay." The man who had introduced himself as the director said. "We've gotten some really fantastic group shots, now we're going to do some paired shots. How about Mitsuki, Kyoya, and . . . Haninozuka go first?"

"Sounds good." MItsukuni said cheerfully. Kagami simply gave an indifferent nod.

The director had them walk over to the large, gold-colored tea table that had been placed on set. It was the perfect centerpiece for the theme of their photo shoot. Kyoya had decided to base all of their costumes on a Wonderland theme. 

Kyoya himself was dressed in a 'King of Hearts' costume. He was wearing a red shirt with a golden doublet over the top that had small red hearts all over it. He had on black pants with matching boots, and a red cape with golden filigree. To complete his outfit, he had a golden circlet with a red gem in the center that was shaped like a heart.

Tamaki was wearing an ivory suit with a red necktie, and a top hat with a red brim and two roses sticking out of it. It was apparently supposed to be themed off of the white rabbit. Hikaru and Kaoru were dressed like the Cheshire cat, with purple striped shirts, ears and tails, and yellow bandannas tied around their necks.
