Character Name: Renauda "Ren" Lancaster

Gender: Female

Age: 21

Birthplace: Lemaria

Appearance: Renauda is an incredibly beautiful woman. Her unruly red hair contrasts her incredibly fair skin. Her startling blue eyes are one of a kind. They are often full of intelligence and life. Her button nose only adds to her beauty, as does her remarkable smile.

Ren is tall, thin and shapely, like a good percentage of Lemaria. Unlike her birthplace, however she is not one to dress ornately. Instead she prefers the heavy armor knights wear, and feels overdressed if forced to don a dress. Although she looks quite remarkable if you can convince her to wear one.

Renauda is incredibly fit, from years of training to be a knight. Well defined muscles are evident on her legs, arms, and abdomen, although you'd probably never see them unless you could convince her to wear something less metallic.

Personality: Ren is a bit headstrong as one who lived with three brothers would be. Very little can detour her from reaching her goals. She has very strict sense of right and wrong, and will always stand up for her beliefs. Sometimes, when she feels an injustice has been served, she will take matters into her own hands, which is not something recommended of a knight. She believes that a true knight has a responsibility to help those less fortunate and to protect those who cannot protect themselves. Renauda can often be found serving someone else.

She is confident in her abilities and herself, despite the challenges she faces as a woman knight. That does not mean that she is boastful, she believes humility is one of the best qualities in a knight. Ren is always on to speak her mind when she believes true injustice is served. She has very strict sense of right and wrong, and will always stand up for her beliefs.

On the rare occasion when she is irritated, her temper flares brighter than her hair.

Past: The youngest, with three older brothers, Renauda grew up in a wealthy family. Living in Lemaria had its perks. She enjoyed a comfortable life, and could have anything she desired, well almost anything.

Being the daughter of a wealthy man, Renauda learned many necessities social skills-politics, charm, grace, etc. She developed a love of learning, although not necessarily that kind involved books. She enjoyed the hands on kind of knowledge.

And so Ren became obsessed with knight hood after watching her brothers join, one after another. The good they did was something Renauda wanted to be a part of. So with the help of some friends, her brothers taught her many skills and qualities associated with knights-honor, valor, bravery, a sense of justice, kindness and mercy. She learned how to fight with a sword just as well if not better than anyone she came against. Her archery skills were unmatched and it is said that her shot can split an arrow. She yearned to join a gild or the king's army.

Being their only daughter, her parents had other expectations for her. Ren was to be married off to some well known and respectable man by the time she turned twenty-two.

But Ren wouldn't have any of it. Although she loved her parents deeply, she wanted to make her own decisions-she wanted to choose where she went, what she did, and who she did it with. And her first decision was to join the competition, figuring she could show her parents, and everyone who doubted a lady knight, what she was capable of.

Skills: Renauda is very skilled with both a sword and a bow-the more traditional weapons of a knight. She is quick on her feet and agile. She can do anything her male counterparts can do-if not better.

Strengths: Ren is very charming and very learned in the ways of a knight. She is incredibly bright, strong and skilled with a sword and bow. She is very good at horseback riding, and is skilled in mounted archery. She loves riding more than anything, as it is an opportunity for her to clear her head.

Weaknesses: Emotions, while mostly a good thing, can also be bad. When she sees a fallen comrade, her brain instinctively wants to help them instead of paying attention to what is going on around her. When angered, she may become a little blunter then a respectable lady should.

COMMENTS FROM THE ROYAL COURT:

King Artheur: Headstrong and courageous, with a good heart and a wise mind. You'll do wonderfully, my dear.

Queen Melinda: Emotional children get nowhere in life.

Roland Delmere: Separate your head from your heart girl, or you may find this life, should you earn it, will tear you apart.

Sir Thomas: I've been in a lot of places. I've seen a lot of things. But never something as lovely as you.

Sir Adeline: The sword and bow--always a great combination. Toughen your heart but always keep your emotions there, waiting under the surface.
