"Let's go," I say, exiting the hotel room.
"The faster we can get to Illéa, the better. The longer we take, the more Eady worries, and the more she worries, the more she'll investigate. If she investigates, she'll find out where we are," Kaden adds.
"Well, then, let's hurry,"Ahren replies.
"Wait!" Queen Daphne shouts, seeming to magically appear, "Give my regards to Quern America, please."
"Of course," I reply.
"One more thing, I admire you two for your immense loyalty for your family. I don't know many other sixteen year olds who would go to such lengths for their family's happiness," she adds.
Kaden and I are speechless. We'd never thought of tracking Ahren down to clean the mess he made as being something the Queen of France would admire us for. All that we were thinking was that we had to put our family back together.
Author's Note
Yes, Daphne is nice in this story. America asks about how she's doing in The Heir, so she must be nice. They're probably buddies at this point in time. Even if they weren't, who wouldn't admire two sixteen-year-olds who would go to such lengths for their families?-Nom Nom
