When the attack ends, I go out and try to find Arthur, Emilia, and Kaden.
"Where were you?!?!" Emilia asks.
"I couldn't find you, so I went to the secret library," I reply sheepishly.
"You could have been attacked!" Emilia scolds.
"I was... technically. But I wasn't nearly as hurt as the other guy. I don't think he gets shot in the kneecaps by teenaged girls very often," I joke.
"He could have killed you!"
"But he didn't."
"Fine," she says.
"Okay... well, I'm going to go to my rooms. It's getting late, anyways. See you tomorrow," I say.
I walk to my bedroom, but before I get there, someone taps me on the shoulder. Thinking that it was a rebel, I pull my pistol out. A stunned Erik holds his hands up in surrender.
"Whoa! It's just me!" he exclaims.
"Erik! Don't sneak up on someone like that, especially if they're armed! I could have shot you!" I tell him.
"I don't plan on doing that again," he replies.
"Good. Now, why are you here?" I ask.
"I need to ask you a question," Erik explains.
"Sure."
"What kind of flowers does your sister like?"
"Why do you ask?"
"For Henri."
"Ohhh..."
"Yes."
"Any kind, I guess. She likes presents."
"Thank you, your highness."
"Any time."
I continue walking to my rooms. And bump into a running Kile.
"Sorry!"
"Why are you running?" I ask.
"I had to tell Eadlyn something," he replies.
"Okay..."
Kile keeps running. Wonder what he's going to tell her... I keep going to my rooms. This time, I actually get the rest of the way over there without running into anyone. Luckily, Jane wasn't affected by the rebel attacks, since she wasn't in the palace. Mom told me one of her maids died in a Southern Rebel attack, so I hope the same fate doesn't befall one of my oldest female friends.
