Confusing Love

The rumour

I open my eyes and yawn. Everyone was on the floor on mattresses. Last night was great, and it was the most fun I've had in a long time. I laugh; Lily was spread out on her mattress, her arm hanging over Sabrina's face. Sabrina's eyes flutter open, and she throws Lily's arm off of her, laughing and snorting loudly in Lily's ear. Lily's eyes open quickly, and she starts laughing when she realises it was just Sabrina. Elle was the last to wake up, she always is, she yawned loudly covering her mouth. I grab my phone from my bedside table and my eyes widen when I see a text from Adrianna. "Why is Adrianna messaging me?" I say, loudly. They all look up at me and shrug "I don't know" They all say. I click on the message.

"I heard about you making out with Hunter, you are sooo desperate aren't you! I can't believe you kissed him, he told me he shoved you off but you just kept trying to kiss him, you are so gross, back off, he doesn't want you" – Adrianna.

"It's quite funny that you call me gross and desperate, when you stole another girl's boyfriend. You are such a horrible person, how dare you." – Emily.

I roll my eyes. "What does the text say?" Lily asks. I shrug "Nothing, I will deal with it later" I say, smiling. The rumour is going around, so I guess I will be sending a message later- to the whole school.

We all shuffle into the kitchen, all in our PJ's still. I yawn again, and close my eyes for a few seconds. Opening them so I can go the fridge and grab out a carton of orange juice, I pour everyone a glass. I sip some orange juice, and sit down on the couch. Everyone follows me. "So, what is going on this Adrianna" Everyone asks. I sigh "When I was helping Hunter study a while ago, he leaped onto me and kissed me" I stop and look at lily "I'm really sorry, I shoved him off straight away, because I thought it was wrong he was cheating on you" Lily looks down and shrugs "I knew he was cheating on me, I had a feeling" She whispers. I nod and continue "Anyway, I pushed him off, and ran out of his house. Later on at school, he threatened to tell everyone that I was the one that jumped on him and kissed him. I recorded him on my phone threatening me, so there is proof that I didn't do what he said I did. Adrianna messaged me saying I was gross and a desperate person and that I should back off" I explain, sighing softly and looking away. Lily rolls her eyes "I can't believe Adrianna" she says. " I messaged her back saying she was the one who kissed another girls boyfriend, and that she is the gross person here, not me" I say back to Lily. I was beyond annoyed, I couldn't believe Hunter would even do this, why did I even like him; he is such a disgusting jerk. And now he is spreading rumours about me? Even if I do send everyone the recording, Hunter will still find a way to get everybody on his side.
