Mariah P.O.V.

I opened my eyes but my vision was blurry. I heard a voice but I couldn't make out who it was. I blinked a couple of more times and my vision started to clear up. Travis looked down at me and smiled. I looked at him as if he was the oddest thing I had ever seen. I was confused. I wasn't really aware of my surroundings at the time which was why I felt so afraid.

I sat up quickly and kept turning around and saying where am I ? I was starting to panic.

Travis grabbed both of my hands tightly. "Mariah calm down. You're just in my room. You fell asleep, don't you remember?"

I furrowed my brows. I didn't recall falling asleep. For some odd reason I couldn't remember anything that happened after I drank my juice. No matter how hard I tried to remember, I just couldn't.

Suddenly I felt excruciating pain. My head felt like it got pounded against a wall and for some odd reason my vagina felt sore.

"How long was I asleep?" I asked.

"Only a couple of hours."

"Only a couple of hours?" I shrieked. I looked at the time and noticed it was ten thirty. It was late and I needed to get home.

I quickly got up and said, "You need to take me home now."

He grabbed his keys and we got into the car and left. I kept telling him to drive faster because I couldn't manage to get home any later. My body was aching and my mom didn't like me coming home late when it was a school night.

When he pulled up in my driveway I gave him a quick kiss and left. I rushed inside my house and was already thinking of excuses to tell my mother about why I came home so late. As soon as I opened the door to my mother's room I noticed she was not home. That was odd. Where could she be?

I went into my room and didn't see Amy either. I was getting a little worried. My mom didn't even call or text me to tell me that she was not going to be home. I sighed and started undressing. When I opened my closet to put my clothes away I seen Amy on the floor. She had her knees hugged up to her chest. She was rocking back in forth.

"Oh my gosh Amy, did mom leave you alone again?"

She stopped rocking and after a few seconds she looked at me. "No. But you did."

"I did not. You were supposed to be at Layla's house while mom went to work. Where is she anyway?"

"She's going out with some dude." She said, rolling her eyes. "I heard her talking about it to one of her friends.

"I can't believe she left you all alone."

"Stop blaming this on mommy! Its your fault Mariah. You promised to hang out with me and you just went straight to Travis's house. I told mom she didn't even have to bother dropping me off at Laylas because I figured you would be home by the time I got off of school. But when I got home you weren't even there. Mommy had already left to go to work by then and I didn't want you to get in trouble so I didn't say anything to her."

"I'm so sorry Amy. I totally forgot. There's been so much going on an-

"You're not the only one who has stuff going on Mariah." She snapped. "You broke your promise and you've never done that before." I could hear the hurt in her tone. She looked so disappointed in me that I couldn't help but feel bad.

"I spent hours here home alone and I didn't want you to get in trouble because of that so I had to write a little note that said, Mariah and I are out with Nikki, so we'll be home a little late. When mom came home I made sure I hid in the closet so she wouldn't know I was here. That was at eight and its ten something now! I've been sitting in this closet for two hours. Does that not mean anything to you?"
