Your Photography teacher gave you an assignment over Thanksgiving break. That assignment is to shoot an entire roll of black and white film of things you are thankful for, and want to remember in 30 years. In reality, you had no clue what to shoot. All of your best friends were out of town for the American holiday, and you've taken so many pictures of your pets already. What ever you shot, you just wanted this roll to actually come out correctly.
You laid lazily on your cousins couch after dinner, playing with your camera, trying to think of something to shoot. With camera in hand, you looked around the room, focusing on every little thing, until you came across the perfect picture. Across the room, you saw your best friend, Patrick (because your cousin was more than happy to have him), slouching on the couch with your new born baby cousin laying on his chest.
Both of their eyes were closed, making them look like they were asleep. A smile spread across your face as you changed the aperture level and made sure both of the were in focus. Slowly, you pressed down on the shutter release. Click!
As soon as the picture was taken, Patrick jolted awake. His eyes darted around the room, trying to find what made the sudden noise. Then his eyes landed on you. His breathing slowed when he locked eyes with you; his cheeks turned a slight shade of pink, and he looked down at your still sleeping cousin.
Patrick's eyes darted back to yours and he glared at you. You giggled, sticking your tongue out, and running out of the room. All your relatives watched as you ran through the house, dodging everyone, and making sure everyone you bumped into was okay. You turned the corner, up the stairs, and into the small bedroom.
The door closed, and you slide your back down it, breathing heavily from all the activity. After a few minutes of trying to catch your breath, your phone vibrated. You took out your phone, and saw you got a new text from Patrick. A grin spread across your face as you opened your phone to read the message.
"I will get you back, Y/L/N. Some day, some how, some way."
I just thought this was a really cute idea. And... You know.
