Holes

3 am. Loud drums. Loud guitar. Loud bass. Loud noise.

You groaned loudly as you turned over in bed. Your next door neighbor, Patrick, was in a band and for some odd reason, thought it would be a good idea to practice at 3 am. Normally, he'd do it at 5 when you actually had to wake up for work, but today that's not the case.

The noise would not stop after 10 minutes and it was starting to piss you off. When people wake you up and don't let you go back to sleep, bad things will happen.

You got up out of your bed, and stomped your way to your shared wall. You start to pound rather hard on the thin wall; and where you were pounding was one of the weaker spots in the wall. As you tried to yell at Patrick over his noise, you ended up accidentally pounding to hard and made a rather big hole in the wall.

Patrick must have heard the wall break because once it did, the music stopped immediately. The footsteps behind the wall got louder and louder until they stopped right in front of the wall. As you removed your fist from the wall, you saw the face of Patrick's peaking through the hole. You stared worriedly at the small opening, hoping he wouldn't get pissed.

"Uh... Nice hole you made here" Patrick smirked as he looked you in the eyes. You blushed and rubbed the back of your neck. "Guessing we woke you up again?" He asked as he removed the broken pieces from the wall.

"Indeed you did. And if I can ask, why 3 am?" You stated questioningly as Patrick examined the wall further.

"Oh, um. You know... insomnia."

"I see. Well, if you don't mind, please never do this again" You sighed as you walked away from the hole, feeling Patrick's eyes still on you.

"Sure. I'll get the wall fixed as an apology" Patrick called to you, walking away from the hole to try and sleep again. You smirked as you climbed back into bed for your last two hours of sleep.
