"Oh, what a beautiful wedding," I told one of the waiters, standing beside me with a tray of champagne filled glasses.
"Outdoor weddings are always my favorite to work at. This one has been my favorite so far, even though the actual wedding hasn't even started yet." The waiter smiled at me then walked away.
The waiters right, though. Outdoor weddings are fantastic, even though I've never really been to one. You can have an outdoor wedding anywhere, really. On the beach, in a Forrest, in a field, anywhere!
I watched as the families mingled and found their seats. Being the maid of honor, I knew I shouldn't be out around the families, but I just can't help myself. No one's really noticed I'm out here, anyway.
"Hey, Y/N," someone called from behind me. Has someone actually noticed me? I turned around and saw the best man, Patrick fucking Stump jogging towards me. I don't know whether or not I'd rather have all the families notice me right now.
"What do you want, Patrick," I sighed, not happy with his appearance.
Patrick Stump. He maybe famous, but to me, he's a famous dick. Ever since my best friend, Sarah, met her soon-to-be husband, Brendon, and introduced me to Patrick, I couldn't stand him. His whole "nice guy" act just doesn't work on me. I know that he's really a dick. No one can be that nice. Honestly, why does everyone fall for that?
"Sarah needs you right away," Patrick gasped, placing his hands on his knees to catch his breath. I rolled my eyes, and walked off to Sarah's dressing room. "You're welcome!" Patrick called from behind me. I just stuck up my middle finger and kept walking. I do NOT want to walk down the isle with him.
-At the Reception-
After dinner, the dance floor was filled. The bride and groom haven't had their first dance yet, and they haven't done the other dances you normally have at a wedding. Honestly, I find it odd they haven't happened yet.
I watched most of Sarah's and Brendon's families get it down on the dance floor. Some of the adults were drunk, and the kids were doing their own little dances. I smiled from my seat in front of commotion, wishing I could be that care free. But, alas, being the maid of honor doesn't get you very many dances.
"Ladies and gentlemen and everyone in-between, the bride and grooms first dance will be coming up after this slow song for you all. So hang tight, and grab someone special to share this dance."
The dance floor nearly cleared after the announcement, and now only couples remained. I sighed, getting up from my seat to walk out of the room. I'll come back in time for Brendon and Sarah's dance. No way am I gonna look at all the happy couples right now.
"Y/N! Wait!" I turned around to see Patrick, hands inside his pocket, a sweet smile across his face. "May I have this dance?" He extended his hand, waiting for me to take it.
I looked at his hand then back at him. What prank is he trying to pull here? Patrick lightly shook his hand, wanting me to take it. My lips tugged a little bit and I took his hand.
(Let's say Iris by The Goo Goo Dolls is playing because I e always thought that'd be a nice slow dance song.)
Patrick dragged me back to the dance floor, and wrapped his free arm around my waist. He brought me close to him, and started leading. I gazed in amazement at Patrick, his face ridden with joy and pride. Patrick is actually... Kind of handsome. His brown-red hair swooping to the side, his kind-of chubby cheeks, and his Blue eyes with a golden ring around the pupil, making his eyes fade from blue to green to yellow.
"When everything's made to be broken..." Patrick sung softly into me ear. "I just want you to know who I am..."
After a few minutes of Patrick leading me around the dance floor, the song slowly came to an end. My heart ached that the moment we shared is now over. Patrick brought us to a stop and grabbed my hands. I looked at his hands, then into his beautiful eyes.
"I don't know what I did for you to hate me," he started, "but I hope that you can forgive me for it. I don't want a beautiful person like you to hate me, when instead we could be loving each other." Patrick smiled and kissed my cheek. He let go of my hands, and went off into the crowd of people.
Patrick Stump wasn't the guy I thought he was. In fact, he's the opposite. I guess there are people in the world that are just big balls of sunshine, and he's one of them. I could get used to be around him now because I think I'm starting to fall for the guy I once hated.
God I hope this lived up to your standards! I also hope I did good writing this because I don't know. I jut haven't been feeling it lately. I'm trying to get back into the groove for the summer though! I hope you enjoyed this one!
