Y/S/N = Your skype name

Sure, I've never really met him in person, but that doesn't mean I'm not his friend. We've talked for about 5 years now through Skype messaging, and we're the best of friends. He knows so much about me, and I know so much about him. He's my best friend, and I can't wish for anyone better.

The past few months, we've been bringing up the "when I see you"s. It's never the if, but the when's. We're dying to see each other, and to actually hug each other. Both of us are tired of the text hugging, but it has to do until we meet. I just wish he didn't live across the United States.

I live in Florida, and he lives in a suburb of Chicago. On a weekly basis, we talk about how much the place we live sucks, and how much we hate our family. Oh, how we talk about that. Everyday, it's the same thing with us. "Uggh, I hate my mom," or "I hate my dad," and even sometimes "I hate my brothers."

Today... Today was different, though. I told him I was going on vacation for the next week, and I wouldn't have a lot of wifi. Little did he know, I was actually vacationing near him. It's gonna be a surprise when I show up in his door step, asking for him.

I laid on my bed in the hotel room, smiling like an idiot just thinking about it. I'm finally gonna see my best friend for the first time ever. I sprung off the bed, and walked to the door to exit. No way am I waiting any longer to meet him. I opened the door, and ran down the hall to the nearest elevator. Damn, am I excited!

I parked my rented car right in front of his house. Hopefully, I planed all of this correctly so I wouldn't have came here for nothing. I took out my phone and started messaging him on skype.

[12:31 PM ] Y/S/N: Hey! Are you doing anything?

Not even a minute later did he reply.

[12:31 PM] PStizzle: nope. Laying in bed on YouTube. I thought you had no wifi?

A smile spread across my face. He's home, and I can see him face to face. I jumped out the the car, and ran to his door. Taking in a deep breath to calm the nervousness and anxiety, I pressed the door bell. A muffled 'be there in a sec' sounded from the other side. My smile grew wider as the seconds went by. The door squeaked open, and a middle aged women appeared on the other side.

"Oh, how can I help you, dear?" She asked me with a quizzical look on her face.

"Hi! Is Patrick home?" You asked her in the sweetest way possible. Patrick's mom smiled at me, and walked off saying she'll go get him now, and that I can make myself at home.

I walked inside the medium sized house, and closed the door behind me. Patrick's house was absolutely beautiful. Nothing was out of place, and all the furniture was placed expertly. I admired the interior of the house as I made my way over to his couch. If only I lived in this place because damn! It's a nice house!

In the distance, I could hear Patrick's mom calling to him up the stairs about him having a guest. A guest. Me, I'm finally his guest after all these years. Nothing in my life could be more exciting than right now. After a few minutes of waiting for him, light footsteps sounded from the hall Mrs. Stump went down. My smile would not stop growing. This is it. I'm finally gonna see him in person. The footsteps stopped right at the entrance of the room.

"Hey, can I help you?" Patrick called over from the entry way. I stood up from the couch and turned around to face him. Patrick's eyebrows furrowed and his eyes scanned me. The moment he recognized me, his face lit up.
"Y-Y/N? You're here?!" I nodded at him, trying to hold back the tears in my eyes.

As I nodded, he scaled over the couch to tackle me to the floor in a hug. Laughter sounded from the two of us, our embrace tightening with each second passing. It's the first time we've ever held each other. We didn't bother getting up from the floor, either. We're happy just the way we are.

Suddenly a light flashed over somewhere behind Patrick. I can't pinpoint where it came from since he's literally on me. Patrick moved his head a little to see where it came from, then let out a big sigh.

"What? I know you'd want to document the first time you met your best friend. I'm just helping you out," Patrick's mom explained. I let out a chuckle and agreed that.. I would too. He look back at me, his smile growing wider.

"God... It's actually you..." He whispered to me, planting a kiss on my forehead. "I love you so freaking much, best friend. I'm glad I actually get to say it to your face..." He told me looking into my eyes.

"I love you too, man. I feel the same way."

So like... The past few months, me and my best friend, Rin, have been talking about the "when I meet you"s, and... I just thought I should write this. I wish I could finally meet it. I wish we didn't live across the US, him somewhere in Florida, and me in Illinois. I love him so much, and my only wish right now is to finally get to meet him, and our group of friends we've made.

I hope that you guys, too, get to meet your best friend someday; whether you haven't met them yet, or you talk to them through a screen. I still hope it happens to you someday soon!
