I kinda had a feeling that wasn't the last time I'll be seeing her. It was a gut feeling that wouldn't go away. I didn't know when I'd see her, or where, but I knew it probably wouldn't be good. Nothing good could come from us meeting again.

But I guess, nothing good came to me. But her... I saved her.

-Midnight, New Years Day-

Me and the guys didn't want to do much on New Years, because of the extremely crazy year. All we're doing now is sitting around my coffee table with our girlfriends and wives, playing a board game called 'Monopoly'. It was fun until Joe completely gave up, and Pete started getting offended by everything; that all started at the very beginning of the game.

All of our laughing stopped when a frantic knocking started at the door. Everyone started at me wondering if I invited someone else, but I just look straight ahead of me in confusion. Quietly, I got up from the floor and made my way towards the door. When I opened it, I didn't expect to see her face, stained with tear and a big black bruise around her left eye. I glanced at her and then the little boy, asleep in her arms. I didn't know what to do anymore.

"Patrick... I know you don't care, but I really need anyone's help right now." Y/N said in a shaky voice. My eyes found their way to her bloodshot ones, and my expression started to soften the longer I stared.

"Hey, Pat? Who's at the door?" Andy called over to me from the couch. I watch as Y/N's expression went from helpless to terrified in a matter of seconds. She knew how the band felt about her after she left, and they were some of the last people she wanted to see; especially now.

"O-oh, you have people over. Sorry to b-"

"What the fuck is she doing here?!" Pete yelled from behind me. Her eyes widened at his voice and she started to back up. I looked behind me at Pete and gave him a look to shut the hell up and leave us alone. I turned my head back to Y/N and sighed.

"Pete's right though, what are you doing here?"

"Patrick, I really need your help. We need your help." She motioned to the sleeping child in her arms. A loud noise sounded from behind me, almost like everyone was up and staring at the two of us in the door.

"BULL SHIT! You don't want his help! You just want him back!" Joe screamed at the top of his lungs, making his way towards the door. "Well to fucking bad! He doesn't want you back, now fuck off!" Joe pushed me out of the way, and slammed the door in Y/N's face. I glared at Joe for what he just did. I understand they're trying to protect me, but I can do this on my own.

"Mommy? Why is daddy mad? Is he going to hurt us again?" A small voice sounded from the other side of the door. I shot looks to everyone in my house; everyone was stunned, and a little guilty for what just happened. They all looked back at me, worried about what I'm gonna do.

What is there to do? A small child and a woman is getting beat by their father/husband. There's only one thing to do, really.

I flung the door open, grabbing Y/N's arm and pulling her in the house. Y/N stumbled into the house, almost falling but Andy was there to steady her. She thanked him and set her boy down, telling him to go sit on the couch while we talked. The boy nodded and ran over to the couch obediently. Her sweet expression changed as soon as the boy left her sight; in exchange was a look of pain and sorrow.

"What's his name?" I asked her before we got into anything. She looked back at him, then back at me and sighed.

"His name is Patrick..." I raised my eyebrows at her response. Did she na- "Yes, I named him after you... I'm sorry, I guess."

I looked behind her to study the boy. He had short reddish-blond hair, and from this far of distance it look like bluish-green eyes. Nothing about him looked like her, and then... Something in my head went off. My eyes went wide and my breathing stopped. I slowly looked back at her, a small smile on her face.

"I-is he...?"

"Yeah, he is... I found out I was two or three months along with him after I left you... I'm sorry I never told you, Patrick." Everyone looked between the two of us, not knowing what to say.

Honestly, I didn't know what to say either. My ex fiancé comes back again after a week of our last encounter, and tells me we have a child together. How are you supposed to react to that?

"So, why are you here with him?" Pete spat at Y/N, braking the silence that loomed over us for several minutes. Meagan nudged him because of his rudeness, and he just shrugged back at her in return.

"I'm here to ask for help..." She started," my husband.... The past 2 years he's been really... Abusive towards me and little Patrick, but he only started hurting him a few months ago when he... Found out Patty wasn't his. I would have came sooner than last week, but I didn't know if you'd react like you did or not! This past week, he's come home drunk and threatened to kill me and Patty; so please... Please take us away from him."

There was a silence between everyone after that. Yeah, I still despise her after what she's done to me, but I can't let her die. I can't let her husband keep doing what he's doing to her. In front of all of us, she cried for help. I looked at each one of my friends and their partners; the looks they gave me said it all. I took a breath, and looked back at Y/N.

"Fine. Yeah. We'll help, all of us. But that doesn't mean we're forgiving you for what you did." I told her sternly.

I will never forget how bright her face got when I said those words. It was like she was 5 years old again on Christmas morning. Before I knew it, she had her arms around me tightly, giving me the biggest hug I've had since she left me. I smiled a little bit, and returned the gesture.

"Thank you so much... This is the best gift I will and could ever ask for..." She whispered into my ear.

"Mommy?  Whats happen? Why you hugged him?" The three year old asked, tugging on his mothers pants. She let go of me and bent down to his level, the widest smile on her face.

"Well, Patrick. Mr. Stump and his friends here are gonna help us with Daddy's problem." She told her son the best way she could explain.

Little Patrick's face lit up as she explained. He looked up at me and asked me if I would really help them. The way he asked was to adorable that I couldn't contain my smile. I nodded my head at him, making the little boy jump for joy.

"You can take turns spending the night at our houses, but you can spend the night here tonight," I told Y/N, pointing to each one of my friends. "Right guys?"

Each one of them nodded their head, saying that they'll do anything to help. Y/N grinned and thanked us all once again, before excusing herself and her son to wash us before bed. I let go of the breath I was apparently holding once she left the room.

"Well... Happy New Year, everyone..." I sighed before plopping myself on the couch.

So like... I wanted to post this waaaaay earlier than I am, but here you go! I didn't know how to o about the ending, but I think it turned out good!

Happy new year guys! Hope 2016 isn't as shitty as 2015 was! Cheers!
