Chapter 21

Violetta's POV

The first thing I did when I woke up in the morning was knock on Diego's door .No one answered , but it was unlocked so I let myself in . To my surprise , Diego was there , sitting on the edge of his bed and staring blankly into the void. His room was dark , as if whoever put him there , didn't bother turning the light on for him.

"Oh my god ! Diego , I was worried about you ! are you ok ? " I gushed feeling relieved that he was finally back .

But he didn't answer.

"Diego , are you alright ?" again , no response . "Diego can you hear me ?"

"Diego !" I said a little louder . He didn't seem to realize that I was here , or that I was speaking to him . He just kept staring at the wall . Looking so lifeless , as if he lost his soul.

The door behind me was pushed open and in came Maxi , Brianna and Jona .

"Hey ." greeted Brianna "How is he ?"

"He's ignoring me ." I frowned . "Hey , how did you guys know he was back ?" I asked suspiciously .

"Uh we didn't ." replied Brianna a bit too quickly. "We just came to check ."

"And he's not ignoring you ." added Maxi . "This happens every time ." he explained .

Walking closer to him , I noticed bruises around his wrists and small bruises on his face , I sat down next to him and put my hand on his shoulder squeezing a bit to get his attention .

"That won't work ." continued Maxi "All we can do for him is wait it out ."

"Hey ." Federico walked in , followed by Raini . "How is he doing ?"

"He's still in shock ." answered Brianna .

"He's gonna be ok though right ?" asked Raini looking queasy .

"Yes sweetheart he will be ." answered Bri .

"Hey buddy ." smiled Federico , looking at Diego . But Diego remained unresponsive .

"You guys need to get to breakfast . I'll stay with Diego ." stated Brianna .

"I can stay with him ." I offered .

"Uh I don't think that's a good idea ." she responded .

"Why ?" I inquired .

"Just isn't ." she shrugged and I was getting a bit angry .

"Come on Vilu , let's go ." Maxi held my arm and lead me out .

I huffed but followed and got ready for breakfast . But I didn't really feel like eating , I was too worried for Diego . Luckily , I had a whole day of lessons and chores to distract me . He should be better by the end of the day . right ?
