After my shocking night at the stream, I quickly ran home and made my way inside the pack house quietly.

Who was that guy, and what things did he know about me? I wanted to ask Graham, but didn't want to end up running the guy off. It shouldn't scare me.

I peered into the living room to see Graham wasn't there anymore. No, instead he was leaning against the doorframe of the hall, staring at me.

"Where have you been?" He asked looking up and down my body.

"Wow, you sound like my father." I joked and rolled my eyes. "I'm the Alpha here, I ask the questions."

He sighed. "I know that Melony. I was just worried about you. Why did you just leave without telling me?"

"What do you think I can't take care of myself?" I argued and he groaned.

"You know that's not it... I just... I worry about you sometimes. I feel like you're gonna leave me because you're too hurt."

"Graham, I just have a lot going on right now. You need to give me some space."

"You're pushing me away again Melony." He reached his hands out to me, but I stepped away.

"I can't help it. There are some things that you just need to stay out of." I hated using my Alpha voice on him, but it was necessary in the situation.

He bowed his head and left the room. I felt like a colossal bitch, but I did need some time to take in everything that's happening to me.

I trudged upstairs and shut the door behind me. I change into some sweats and found myself lying in bed, completely exhausted.

The next morning I was up bright and early. I planned on going down to talk to some of the rogues today. I didn't know if Graham was still upset with me or not, but he wasn't usually one to hold grudges.

"Hey Melony." He came into the room, his dark hair still wet from his shower.

"Hi." I said and chomped down on a bagel.

"So, what are the plans for today? Go and leave Graham without telling him anything?" He asked tilting his head at me.

"Graham..."

"No it's okay, I completely understand."

This is going to end up getting on my nerves.

"Actually, I wanted to start questioning rogues today. The sooner, the better." I said chewing on my bottom lip, a habit that I had picked up over the years.

"Ahh okay. What time?" He checked the time on his phone and then looked up at me.

"Well we can leave in about ten minutes. I need to aware the guards that we are coming and it takes about seven minutes to get there." I explained.

"Okay, I'll meet you outside." He grabbed a bagel from the table and stuffed it in his mouth. Then he went outside.

I sent out a pack message to the guards at the prison," Graham and I are on our way over."

"Okay Alpha." One responded back and I hopped up from my seat going outside to meet Graham.

"You ready?" I asked and he nodded.

It took us about seven minutes only because I didn't want the prison near the town. I thought it would look scary and depressing if my pack members had to look at it every day.
