The breeze trickled through my fur and my ears perked up at any sudden sounds that would sound. My paws lightly padded the ground as I shoveled my nose through the dirt, trying to find a scent.
Prisoner one hundred and thirty's if you wanted to be more exact.
I was having a hard time, and all of my trails seemed to end up going cold. This man was good at running and hiding.
If it weren't for the information I knew he possessed, then I would've just let him go. I didn't need to be wasting my day on him if he didn't have any importance to me.
I should have figured when I left Micheal in charge of the rogue, that something bad would come out of it. The way he was fighting me must've been the same for Micheal.
I sent Graham out towards the northern part of the territory and I called up an old friend, Alston, Leila's brother to help out as well. Dalton, my third in command also pitched in to help find him.
Everyone had split up and it had already been two hours in the forest that seemed to be extra quiet today. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't seem to conjure up anything on this man.
Soon enough after trailing never ending paths, Dalton mind linked me.
I think I found something peculiar. I'm at the creek more north.
I immediately sprinted to the creek where I seemed to be going more and more often. In five minutes, I was trotting alongside Graham who was also on his way over there.
I shifted into my human form and changed into a pair of clothes I always leave here. After Graham was finished changing, we met up with Dalton.
"Alpha, there is a different scent here. I've never smelt it before." He said.
I sniffed the air and could barely pick up the odd aroma penetrating the air around us.
"I smell it." I said looking at him. "How long has it been here?"
"It just started smelling this way. I immediately contacted you when I smelt it."
We all sat quietly trying to listen to any sounds when we heard footsteps running from the forest.
I snapped my head in the direction of the sound and was full on ready to pounce when Alston emerged from the trees.
I calmed myself down and waved him over. He had become a very clumsy and ignorant guy over the past few years.
"Alston, could you have ran any louder?" Graham teased, while Alston rolled his eyes.
"I can't smell it anymore. Alston must have scared whatever it was away." Dalton said, shooting Alston a penetrating gaze.
"Sorry Alpha." He replied, bowing his head.
"You're fine. You need to take some more tracking classes though. I think it will help some." I couldn't help but chuckle as he sighed.
"I've already taken that class twice!" He pleaded and the others joined in laughing with me.
"Hey they always say, three times a charm." Graham added and Alston couldn't help but laugh along too.
"Okay, I still think we can find him from here. I'll contact Alpha Connor and tell him to stay alert just in case. I need him alive. He has something I need." I said desperately. There was no denying the importance this man brought. And he wasn't lying, I just had a guy feeling.
