Graham and I were currently eating at Red Robins. We decided to drive into town about an hour away from the pack town. We hadn't eaten out in a while and it was amazing.

It was different seeing so many humans at once. They enticed me, I always craved to be like them.

I watched a teenage guy open the door for what I was assuming his date and led her to their table. See, that's the kind of thing I want.

I glanced at Graham and blushed. Even though he wasn't my mate, I found him adorable and wished I was on a date with him.

I didn't want to get in the way of his future mate though. It would be bad if he found her and he either had to break my heart or reject her; which I wouldn't allow.

He looked up at me curiously.

"What?" He asked. I just giggled and nodded my head while scanning the menu.

"What can I get for you today?" Our waitress was standing at the end of our table, smacking on a piece of pink gum.

"Umm just two cheeseburgers please. For us both." Graham ordered for us two.

She gave a fake smile, then took our menus walking away.

"Aren't humans lovely?" He asked laughing.

"I think they are. At least they get to choose how to act." I scoffed. I wouldn't be lying if I said I was jealous of their freedom. I was cursed.

"Melony, it's not even that bad." He complained rolling his eyes. "We are stronger, faster, and smarter. Why doesn't that fact make you happy?"

"Maybe it was because I was hurt. Connor hurt me. I blamed everything on my wolf after that. I didn't even want to shift anymore. Finally I got the strength to overcome that, but I'll always hate that side of me." I explained.

"I have never met a werewolf that doesn't want to be one. You're so different." He said, in a small tone so people around couldn't hear what we were talking about.

"Well, I'm a female Alpha too, how much different can I get?"

After our bitchy waitress brought us out food, we gulped it down and left the restaurant.

"So where to now?" He asked me, buckling up his seatbelt and looking out the window.

"Hmm. I don't want to go home. I'm tired of being there all the time." I groaned.

"Well you are the Alpha. What if they need us?"

"I told Dalton that we would be gone. He can take care of any problems." I said.

"Okay then, we need to discuss the rogue situation some more. Like what to ask them and stuff." He explained and I nodded.

"Then we can just go to the park or something."

I gave him directions to a small park down the street. I had been there once when Connor when he I were still together. Most werewolves don't go out on dates since they don't need to get to know each other better. They already know they're going to live together.

He knew I wasn't like that though. I wanted our relationship to be as human as I could make it. He never agreed, but understood. He treated me like a princess.

Which is why I never understood why he rejected me. It almost seemed as if he was hurt when he did it. Same for my family. The whole pack town seemed to reject me. It was very odd.
