I woke up, and I was actually excited. Carter was taking me somewhere "fun" today, and even though I had no idea what "fun" was to him, I was excited to get out and do something new.

Graham and Lindsay had come in extremely late last night. I could hear the pitter patter of their footsteps and their whispering voices telling each other to shut up because I was sleeping.

I was happy for them. If I couldn't end up with my mate and a happily ever after, I would definitely want Graham and Lindsay to acquire it. And it worked out that they ended up together.

Fate could be nice sometimes. But for others, it can just be a real pain in the ass.

I rolled out of bed, and actually felt good. Like there was plenty wrong with my life and lots of situations that needed to be fixed, but they slipped away for today. Today was my break from all of that.

When I got downstairs, Lindsay was scrambling some eggs. Her light blonde hair was pulled up in a ponytail, well as much that would fit without falling.

It was weird seeing her around now. And it made me feel good inside to know I had gotten some part of my family back.

"Melony, I know you're standing there staring at me." Lindsay turned around smirking. "I know I'm the hot sister, but god."

I laughed and playfully slapped her arm.

"Who told you you were the hot one?" I asked, lifting an eyebrow. I would love to hear this answer.

"Someone I'm very close to." She replied, turning back around and pushing the spatula throughout the fluffy eggs.

"And would this person happen to be yourself....?" I chuckled.

"Well my wolf actually." She admitted and scraped the yummy breakfast onto two plates and handed one to me.

I so badly wanted to ask her what it was like having a wolf someone inside of you talk. Did they give advice? Were they like best friends? But then I figured it would just be best to ask Carter instead of my sister who would think I was crazy.

I scarfed down my eggs and put my plate in the sink.

"Thanks for breakfast, but I have to go now." I said.

"Why are you always leaving? It's like, I just got here but you never want to spend time with me... Or even Graham for that matter. What are you doing?" She looked down at her plate. I never realized I hurt her feelings when I didn't make time for her.

"I'm an Alpha. I'm always busy and it's just been hectic lately. But tomorrow, I promise I will spend the whole day with you. Okay?"

She lifted her face and her eyes lit up. "Okay." She responded excitedly.

And to be honest. I was just as excited as she was. I hadn't been able to spend as much time with my sister as I wanted to. I wanted to know how the pack was when I left. What ever happened to Jake and Danny, our old best friends in the pack. And especially, what ever happened to Connor?

I sighed and pushed the front door open, heading back to the creek where Carter and I usually met. He didn't specifically tell me where to meet him. I just figured it would be were we always met.

Coming down here seemed to be like a routine more now a days. And I probably needed to be more aware that Lindsay and Graham together could easily figure out something was going on, follow me out here, and then think I was a freak.
