I left the hospital heartbroken and devastated. I had just lost my sister, and it was slowly starting to chip away at the walls I had built up over the years.

It killed me to think that someone had done this to her because of me, and from the look on Graham's face, I knew he wasn't just overcome with grief. He was furious, blazing. I could almost feel the heat radiating off of his body.

He looked from Lindsay's lifeless body to me and scowled. I had never seen him this way before, and it frightened me.

"You did this." He spat. His fists were clenched by his sides and his eyebrows clenched, creating wrinkles. I looked away from him and held back the tears in my ears. In a way he was right.

"I'm so sorry Graham." I said softly. I refused to look at him though.

"This whole time everything has just been about you Melony. You never even stopped to see how everyone else was doing. You're selfish, and this wouldn't have happened if you would've just dropped it. They're all rogues Melony. There isn't anything special about them coming and looking for you. They have always done it. So why are you now just starting to freak out? Were you not getting enough attention?" He grabbed his hair frustrated and paced back and forth by her hospital bed.

I knew he was right, I had been selfish lately, but he wasn't right about the rogues. He didn't know about me being a wizard, that my father isn't my real father, or that I was dangerous, more dangerous than anyone thought.

"I'm sorry." I said one more time and silently slipped out of the room. Connor sat against the wall with his head in his hands. The cream colored walls and white tiles floors made his dark hair stand out even more, and I couldn't help but adore him from far away. Adore what I couldn't have.

He looked up once he heard me close the door. I bit my lip and waited for him to speak. I knew he heard everything Graham had just said. He was a werewolf.

"Are you okay?" He asked with sincere eyes. I nodded and sat down beside him. Now was not a moment to be angry with him. Like Graham had said, it was Lindsay's day and I couldn't keep bringing everything back to me and my troubles.

"I'm actually surprised you sat next to me willingly." He mumbled and I couldn't help but giggle a little. "What?" He asked and looked at me confused.

"Nothing." I sighed and looked at him for a few seconds, mesmerized by his looks. He was beautiful.

"You know, after all this time, I never thought I would see you again." He said and his eyes made contact with mine.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"I thought you were dead for the longest time. But I still held on to the fact that you were stubborn and hard headed and you could take care of yourself. I knew you were okay but I just kept telling myself you were dead so I didn't have to live with the guilt. But look at you know, an Alpha. A beautiful one at that."

I couldn't help the flush that took over my cheeks. I wanted to cover the evidence that he still had this affect on me, but I didn't. And I don't know why.

"Connor... I've just... Always wanted to know. Why did you do it? I mean sure we weren't like normal mates. I could've put in more effort, but I was so young and naive, and you hurt me." I said and let out a breath I didn't know I was holding in.

"I know Melony, I know. We will talk about this soon. But now isn't the time. Your family needs you. Graham needs you." He said and gently took my hand, the way Carter did a few moments ago when we were outside. My body tingled at his touch, but I didn't pull away. His comfort wasn't like Carter's. It was energetic and mind blowing, where as Carter was soft and gentle.
