"Ahh Melony, I've been expecting you."
I whipped my head around to try and find the source of the voice. No luck yet again. It was almost as if the guy were invisible.
I sighed, giving up and stepped more towards the stream.
"Okay, what are you wanting to tell me?" I asked exhausted. I just really wanted to go home and sleep. I shouldn't have even come. I mean, what does this guy know that I don't?
"Well first, do you have any questions?"
"About what? I don't even know why I'm here." I groaned frustrated and crossed my arms over my chest. "And it would help if I could actually see you."
"Hmm, it would wouldn't it. I don't think you're quite ready for that though. But I will introduce myself. I'm Carter. You don't need to know my last name." I basically could tell that he was smirking even though I couldn't see his face.
"Well I'm Melony Cole... But you already know that." I shrugged and pushed some bangs out of my face.
"That I do. There's a lot I know about you and your past that you don't. Do you have any idea what you were doing yesterday? With the leaves?" He asked. His voice was rough and it gave me shivers.
"Obviously not. If I did, I wouldn't be out here talking to a stranger whom I can't see." I answered sarcastically.
He chuckled a little,"Simple as this, you're a wizard." He said.
I scrunched up my eyebrows and laughed. Like actually let out a big hearty laugh. I clutched my stomach to keep myself from falling to the ground.
"No... I'm a werewolf." I huffed out once I finally caught my breath.
"Yes, but your half werewolf half wizard. Your father was a wizard."
"What the hell? No he's not. My father is also fully werewolf." I argued. This guy is just playing with me.
"He's not your real father. Stepfather to be exact." He explained.
What....?
"How is that possible? Why didn't they tell me?"
The man who raised me, who told me he loved me every day and that I was his baby girl, it was all a lie? How could they just act like I would never find out.
"Your real father died a couple years after you were born. Your mother didn't ever know that he was a wizard though. She got remarried and didn't think anything of it. I guess she didn't feel required to tell you."
I pinched the bridge of my nose and widened my eyes.
"You've got to be kidding me? So I can like cast spells and stuff?" I was partially excited to figure out this new information, but also upset that my mother never told me.
"Well no. You're just half wizard. You only get one particular place in the wizard world. You're a nature caster. You can do anything and everything nature wise. You seemed to have found your first strength yesterday, when you moved the leaves."
I looked down at a pile of leaves and back up to the sky. Well that's devastating, I can attack people with leaves. How fun!
"So all I can do is make leaves fly around?" I asked.
"Well no, you will be able to do more things in the future, you just need time and practice."
"Is this why I've never been attached to my werewolf side?" I asked, taking a seat on a rock. I rubbed my arms trying to warm them up.
