I don't care what the cliche human is. I don't care if I live or die. As long as my friends are safe.

We went back to the Furies' camp and got the backpacks. We gave the correct vials to the kids. When I saw the looks on their faces when we told them what our next move was, I almost cried.

I had become quite attached to these kids, even though I've only known them for a couple of minutes. We were going to find their families and then be on our way. That was it. Happy ending, right? Wrong. There were more Furies out there, and they were planning something big.

***********8 months later***********

I was crouched behind a bush, bow at the ready. My head raised itself enough for me to see what was happening. Animegas were unloading boxes from a truck, Animebinds were wrapped around their wrists. A Furie with horns held a black whip. I was happy our younger siblings were under the care of the Guardians. Who knows what would happen if Max saw me doing this.

I nodded to Katie. She blew into her silver dart-gun. It hit an eyeball and the Furie melted into a large tar puddle. One noticed his comrade was down and was about to sound the alarm. Greg slit his throat from behind. Over the last few months, we had become the ultimate Furie assassins, and probably the only ones.

I looked over to Thomas, he was perched in a tree. He gave me the all clear. Katie and I darted over to the Animegas. She hacked away at the binds with her sword while I stood guard. They ran into the forest, I held one back.

"Where are they keeping the others?" I whispered.

He looked around nervously. "In storage garages B26 and B27." I nodded and let him go. Katie and I looked through the boxes. They held various types of weapons. We heard a thump from behind us. Katie and I turned around. A tiny bullet hole sat in the back of a Furie. I gave a thumbs up to Thomas as the body of the Furie melted.

Katie, Greg and I split up and looked for the storage garages. Greg whistled loudly,  Katie and I followed him. The garage door was locked shut. But with a few air tricks from Katie, she managed to unlock it. The garage was full of filthy cots and mats. A few Animegas were inside, but not many.

"Guys," I said,"go check the other one. I'll be fine here." Katie and Greg didn't argue.

I ran over to one and gave him some water. By the looks of it, he hadn't eaten in days.

"Are there more of you?" I asked.

He shook his head, "They killed us if we got sick or defied them in any way. We are the last ones left besides those is B27 and the ones unloading the trucks."

Those jerks didn't know where the line was. "Do you know anything about their plans?" The man shook his head.

"Alright," I said. " Let's get you folks out of here."

I checked outside and didn't see anything except for Katie and Greg doing the same thing. I herded the Animegas out of there and we led the small group into the forest.

"Did they know anything?" I asked.

Greg shook his head. I sighed. We heard an alarm go off.

"What the heck? Greg shouted over the noise. "I though Erik was taking care of the security tower!"

I notched an arrow in my bow, "Something must have gone wrong!" We raced towards the security tower. Thomas was already there. I heard shouting coming from behind us. We stood in our battle positions and our weapons ready.

Thomas loaded his gun. "Go Sam," he shouted, "we'll hold them off!”

Reluctantly, I ran inside of the tower. I heard shouting coming from upstairs. Fast as a speeding...fox...I ran up the steps to see what was going on. Erik was going 3 on one with some Furies. These Furies had guns. One thing I learned while fighting these guys, they liked weapons made of Demon blood. AKA the blood that painfully killed me.

Our plan...originally...was to get the Animegas out and quietly kill the Furies. Emphases on the word QUIETLY. We were assassins, not soldiers. So our work consisted of sneaking and taking these guys by surprise, not take them head on.

The Furies had spotted me. One of them aimed their pistol in my direction. Before he could pull the trigger, II sent an arrow flying towards the Furie's head. Got him right in the eye. Erik swung his mace and clubbed one in the gut. I picked up my arrow and stabbed the last one.

"What was that?" I asked.

He rubbed the back of his head. "I took out one, then another saw me and attacked. Then his buddy sounded the alarm. They just kept coming."

I heard Katie scream. I pointed my dagger at him, "We will discuss this later." Then I jumped over the railing and changed into my Animega mid-fall. Not my best idea, I did twist an ankle....paw...WHATEVER! But I did get down fast.

It was bad. The ratio was 7 to one. I saw tar puddles on the ground, but not much. Greg and Katie were back to back, fighting it out as a team. The Furies all had guns, why did it have to be guns? Erik and i joined the fight, but it still was an off battle. Thomas swore loudly, I looked over to him. He was searching his pockets for bullets....nothing.

As fast as I could, I pulled some silver bullets from my black backpack and tossed them to him. One after another, Furies fell. But we were being overpowered.

"Guys!" I yelled. "ELEMENTAL CIRCLE!"

The five of us changed into our Animegas and formed a tight circle. We began chanting.

'Tutores Preces audi. Da imperium voluntatis, da nobis. Et iungamus simul in unum efforment nostra potestate. Teneamus vires, purus vis.'

I could feel the energy flowing through me. The power, it was amazing, it was warm and pure. A glowing light shot up into the sky like a beacon. I raised my paw towards the Furies. The white light shot through it at them. I was blinded, but I couldn't look away. The Furies burned in the light.

The light faded, all that was left of the Furies was ashes.

"We did it," Katie whispered. "It worked."

I smiled and collapsed. In the process of channeling the energy through my body, I had accidentally allowed my own energy to be drained. I saw dark spots cloud my vision and my world went dark.
