December 12...
I will be lying if I say I enjoy living here in Australia. It's too quiet for my liking, dati-rati naman ay di ako mahilig sa any form of social media, but now I have them all. Just to pass my time.
To be honest, I've became very bitter. At first we use skype every week, but now once a fortnight is frequent.
Pero mas bihira ko nang nakakausap si Sai, the last time I talked to him was...well, I can't remember. It was that long time ago. I honestly miss him, his boyish look and his embarrassed reaction when he tries to talk to me before. I just smile to myself whenever I remember him. Mas lalo naman si Rossi, I always miss her crazy schemes and antics. Sa phone ko na lang yun nakakausap dahil inalis nya ang mga social media nya to focus on studying. Balak may Doktor eh.
It's my Hospitality Certificate. I smiled and hurriedly showed it to my mum.
"Mag apply ka na nak" she said smiling back to me as she handed me back my certificate. I decided to take culinary as my course. It's my passion so I'm really excite to start learning.
We both try to act as if nothing happened, at katulad lang din nang dati ang relasyon namin.
His last message was sent the same day I went with Ate Alaine at her university's open day. That's a week ago. I've been trying to message him for 3 days at hanggang ngayon ay wala pa ring reply.
I smiled bitterly. Or maybe, the marriage commenced. Kung sa bagay, it's the 12th of December today. Maybe he finally gave up and he's probably walking her down the aisle right now.

I think about him every now and again. Not as often as before though, dati nagpupuyat pa ako habang nakaopen lahat nang social networking sites. However, it never happened. Naghintay lang ako sa wala. Apat na taon, wala akong napala.
Binitawan ko muna ang basong pinupunasan ko to attend to someone at the door. Culinary School went well, now I'm starting my own business. Maliit pa lang ito and I'm planning to branch out, lalo na sa Pilipinas. I'm lucky enough to find a place within the City (A/N Di ko sasabihin kung saan, magagalit si Ate Jay), and for the last six months my business actually garner some popularity between customers. I always open my shop by 5:00 in the morning, no one usually comes in at this time kaya nilalock ko ang pintuan pero nakaflip ang sign.
I smiled when I realised it's one of my patrons. She smiles back and looks for a seat. I serve coffees, cakes and some savoury light meals. Lumapit a sa akin ang customer and ordered a cup of coffee, like she always does. Palaging ganun na lang ang inoorder nya and she always seats at the far corner of the store where it's hard for me to see her. As aforementioned she's always here, but we never engage in small talks, just smiles. She must be one busy lady.
I'm planning to get employees next month, but we'll see, hindi pa naman kasi ganun kalaki ang profit ko. Plus, I still manage this place well by myself.
While I was wiping one of the tables, I saw the busy lady standing in front of the counter. I hurriedly finished what I'm doing and head back. I thought she was going to order more, but instead she handed me an envelop. We exchange pleasantries at nagulat ako sa sunod nyang sinabi.
"My company is interested in doing business with you, we hope we can expand The Coffee Heart franchise" she said with I smile. I opened the envelop, nandun ang pangalan nang company at ang mga different restaurants and cafes na hawak nila. Kinilatis ko pa ang mga nakasulat, I'm actually surprised that this company was established just 3 years ago, pero madami na sila kagad franchise including cafes in Boston, Toronto etc. It's just weird na magiging interested sila sa maliit at nagsisimulang business kagaya nang sa akin. "I'll give you time to talk about it" she continues with a smile, "Here's my number. Call me when you've made up your mind". I watched her, stunned, as she left the cafe.
To be honest, I didn't sleep that night. I squealed and reached for my phone.
And so, I arranged a meeting with Courtney the very next day.
