For the next few days, Hook made regular checks on Emma, she was still unconscious. After the blast of light, Hook had dragged Emma to the surface and managed to drag her aboard. Her lungs were filled with water, so Hook had to resuscitate her. He'd been so worried about her those past few days. He worried that he'd never get to gaze into those gorgeous jade green eyes, or that he'd never see that oh so gorgeous smile again. The smile brightened his life, the smile that brought him hope. It warmed him inside, made him feel safe.
Any free time he had was spent at her side, hoping she would wake. He had no idea what the light was, but he intended to ask her when she woke.
As he watched her resting form, he realised she would be leaving the ship in a few days. It wasn't long until they would reach the port and then she would be gone forever. This thought saddened him deeply. He was going to miss her laugh, her annoying curiosity, he was even going to miss how relentlessly stubborn she was, and how she never backed down from a challenge. No matter what he was doing, she was always on his mind. Everyday that she didn't wake up, he felt like he had a knot in his stomach which he could only presume was worry. Worry that she would never wake up. The doctor had reassured him that she would be ok, but he couldn't help but be concerned about her.
Eventually she did wake, at about midnight a day before they were supposed to reach port. Her head was throbbing and she felt exhausted. Emma began calling out for Hook, and he was at her side in minutes. "You're awake!" He exclaimed as he entered her cabin. "How are you feeling, love?" Emma's heart fluttered in her chest whenever he called her that. "My head hurts, but other than that, I'm OK."
"Good, I'm sure you just need rest." Hook said as he sat down on the chair next to her bed. She sat up slowly and turned to face him. "What happened to me?" Hook explained the events that had occurred a few days prior. "Did you ever find out what the light was?" Emma questioned.
"Well I was wondering if you knew because I have no idea." They sat in silence for a few moments before Hook told Emma that she must rest, for they would reach port by morning.
Hook swiftly left the room, bidding goodnight to Emma as she drifted into a dreamless sleep.

They eventually reached port a little later than was expected. Hook let Emma sleep for as long as possible, but he was just delaying the inevitable.
He eventually went and woke her up so she could say her goodbyes. The whole crew lined up to bid their goodbyes and when they did, they went aboard The Jolly Roger resumed their duties.
Hook was the last to say goodbye. They stood alone on the docks in silence, both not knowing what to say. "Well, I guess this is it." Hook said, not being able to meet her eyes. "I never got chance to thank you for saving me." Emma said. He finally met her gaze to see tears threatening to fall. Hook felt his ego return and scratched behind his ear "perhaps gratitude is an order now." He said, sliding his fingers across his cheek gently and tapping his lips. He smirked and raised one of his eyebrows, making Emma weak at the knees. She decided to toy with him a little. "Yea, that's what the Thankyou was for." They were now staring into each other's eyes. "Is that all your life is worth" Hook remarked.
"Please, you couldn't handle it." She teased. "Perhaps you're the one who couldn't handle it." He dragged out the 't' a little.
Unable to restrain herself any longer, she grabbed onto his leather overcoat and pulled him in, crashing her lips his in a fiery, passionate kiss. Hook wasted no time in participating in the kiss he'd waited so long to have. Her lips were soft, just like he'd imagined.
They eventually pulled away for air, but their faces remained inches apart. "That was..." Hook muttered, trying to find the right words for what he had just experienced. "Yea." Emma said, knowing how he felt, for she felt the same way. The kiss just made it a lot harder for her to leave.
"I guess this is goodbye." She stated as she let tracks of tears make their way down her porcelain cheeks. "I guess it is." Hook's voice was filled with pain and longing for her to never leave him. She launched forwards and held him in a hug as if her life depended on it, now sobbing onto his shoulder. He hugged her back, wrapping his arms around her small waist. They embraced each other for a while before they pulled back.
"Goodbye, Swan." Hook said, now keeping his head low for fear of letting the tears now brimming in his eyes actually fall. "Goodbye, Killian." She turned around and walked towards the carriage that was waiting for her and didn't look back.
Hook watched her go and let a tear slide down his own cheek for her. He knew he wouldn't ever see her again, but her just knew he would never forget her. Emma Swan was truly Unforgettable.

a/n well that was a short and heartbreaking chapter. I'm in so much pain from the recent events of OUAT and not to mention the season finale of Doctor who on Saturday that literally killed me and I just thought I'd share my depression. You're welcome.
P.S I don't get to see "Swan Song" until Wednesday because my country is stupid so please no spoilers in the comments.
